Staff Accountant

Peerspace

• Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, and routing for approval in Bill.com; serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and payment status • Maintain accuracy and completeness of the AP subledger • Management of Stripe invoicing • Support the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and recording of banking activity • Assist with annual audit preparation by organizing and providing supporting documentation • Collaborate with the Controller on process improvements and ad hoc projects • Partner with internal teams to ensure proper coding and approval of expenditures in line with company policy

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of core accounting duties
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and its practical application in day-to-day accounting operations
  • Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience with NetSuite (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with AP automation tools such as Bill.com or similar platforms (Preferred)
  • Experience using Expensify or a comparable expense management tool (Preferred)
  • Background in a technology company, marketplace, or other high-growth environment (Preferred)

Senior Accountant   Hybrid          Operations           Full time Location: Toronto ON CA Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations across multiple regions (North America and Europe). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, payroll (multi-country), general ledger, expenses, vendor payments, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting—including public company and board-level reporting. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage complexity across platforms and currencies, and a strong understanding of international finance operations. This is a high-impact role offering flexibility within core business hours, the possibility of hybrid work (remote and in-office), and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and international environment.
