Job Description

Senior Controls Engineer, Field Support

Rockwell Automation

• Build customer relations and apply technical expertise to on-site projects • Oversee field service deliverables, establish operational quality and assure customer satisfaction • Provide customer support by performing on-site installation services • Oversee diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems • Approve operational quality of system equipment • Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system • Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters • Report to the Territory Services Manager and work onsite in Seattle, WA and across the Seattle territory • Perform project management functions, including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting • Support installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of automation control systems and related software applications • Participate in establishing, measuring, and achieving customer satisfaction metrics • Develop documentation including validation project plans and standard operating procedures

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience in industrial automation in Mining, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Metals, Water/Wastewater, Oil and Gas, or others
  • PLC programming experience, using RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, and FactoryTalk Studio software
  • Studio5000, ControlLogix, CompactLogix
  • Ethernet/IP, Stratix Switches
  • Servo/Motion control
  • Low Voltage PowerFlex Drives or Medium Voltage Drives products or applications
  • Multiple networks, including EtherNet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
