Corporate Development Analyst

• This role will focus on market research and mapping, and on the identification, evaluation, and qualification of potential acquisition opportunities. • Conduct comprehensive research on specific industries and verticals, and competitive landscapes to help identify, categorise , and qualify potential acquisition targets. • Track industry-specific M&A activity, investment trends, and potential disruptors. • Develop in-depth profiles of potential acquisition targets. • Assess the strategic fit of potential targets, considering factors such as technology, customer base, and market share. • Collaborate with the Business Development and M&A teams to develop and refine the company’s acquisition strategy and market expansion plans. • Assist in the preparation of strategic roadmaps and plans. • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate research findings. • Present research and analysis to internal stakeholders, highlighting potential opportunities and risks. • Work closely with internal teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent qualification.
  • Could suit a recent graduate or anyone who has had experience in a similar field.
  • Strong computer and Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of the software industry and familiarity with M&A processes would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex research into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Position Overview Under direction, serves as a Grant Fiscal Analyst; independently performs complex duties of grant fiscal and programmatic operations. Reviews grant reporting, invoicing, and budget submissions for accuracy, completeness, internal controls, and strategic goals. Essential Functions - Serves as a Grant Fiscal Analyst, independently performs complex duties of grant management operations. - Tracks and monitors mandated grantee reporting requirements (Periodic Financial and Programmatic Reporting), for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy with approved allocable and allowable expenditures using Microsoft Excel software and other agency approved software, in conjunction with the approved budget, 2CFR200 language, and contractual obligation(s) of the grant. - Assists with the development and publishing of public notices for competitive Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) (2 CFR 200.203, Appendix I). - Assists with the development of the grant program exhibit contained within the Uniform Grant Agreement. - Travels to conduct on-site reviews of grantee Internal Control/Risk Assessment programs and evaluates issues such as outcomes, performance measures, accountability of assets, compliance with Federal and State statutes, regulations and the terms and conditions of the grant agreement. - Provides recommendations to the supervisor, Bureau Administrator, and Division management team through discussions and briefings on grant management policies, practices, and methodologies. - Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
