Role Description The Vocational Counselor provides vocational services and consultation as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. - Familiar with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they apply to the community residence program and agency policies. - Provides vocational services and consultation as a member of a multi-disciplinary team; visits clients in their home and other settings as required. - Familiar with OMH regulations. - Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services. - Provides aid and assistance through all phases of the vocational service provision. - Performing routine clinical services as a member of the Team. - Responsible for charting client services. - Responsible for the vocational portion or all of creating the service plan. - Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services with the tasks of all the team members. - Responsible for ensuring revisions to the plan as the participants’ needs change. - Advocating on the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possible. - Responsible for creating a monthly spreadsheet with names of tenants and their employment status. - Follow-up quarterly with all employed tenants. - Assist with making monthly contact with tenants as needed. - Participate in bi-weekly meetings. - Participate in monthly supervision to address any work-related tasks or concerns. - Other duties as assigned.
