Role Description We are seeking a Proposal Manager for our national Aviation practice to support strategic growth initiatives by leading the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling pursuits for airport and aviation infrastructure clients nationwide. This role is ideal for a seasoned AEC proposal professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings a strong balance of proposal leadership, capture planning, interview development, and partnership with client service teams. You will play a critical role in managing complex pursuits, shaping strategic win themes, and translating technical concepts into clear, persuasive messaging that aligns with client priorities, procurement requirements, and evolving aviation industry needs. You will partner closely with capture managers, technical teams, business development leaders, and teaming partners to drive pursuit excellence from pre-positioning through interview delivery. This role may also include mentoring junior BD staff, contributing to proposal best practices and process improvements, and helping foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance across the BD & Marketing team. Qualifications - Normally, a 4-year degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or applicable field - or comparable experience - is required. - 8 years of practical working experience preferred. - Normally 8+ years of total combined experience in the full lifecycle of business development (client, capture, and proposal and interview phases). - Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience supporting, facilitating, and participating in capture planning support. - Demonstrated success in winning major pursuits and leading multidisciplinary teams. - Proposal experience in the AEC and/or Aviation industries. Requirements - Demonstrated success in taking opportunities successfully from capture support through and including successfully performing all phases of proposal management responsibilities. - Demonstrated experience and detailed understanding of the business development lifecycle phases; marketing, client accounts, capture, proposals and interviews. - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (mandatory) and Adobe creative suite including InDesign (preferred); experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) system (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred). - Normally would have completed some continuing education/professional association training relevant to business development in the AEC industry.
