Role Description We are looking for a Senior Node.js Backend Developer with strong TypeScript and AI-assisted development experience to build scalable, high-performance backend systems. This role combines modern backend engineering, microservices architecture, and AI-augmented development practices to deliver production-grade systems. - Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTFul and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript. - Build and maintain microservices-based architectures for high-traffic applications. - Ensure performance, reliability, and availability of backend systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for end-to-end feature delivery. - Implement data processing, integrations, and business logic layers. - Optimize systems using caching, async processing, and performance tuning. - Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and engineering standards. - Support CI/CD, testing, and production troubleshooting. Qualifications - 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js. - Strong experience with TypeScript (mandatory). - Proven experience building REST APIs and microservices. - Proficiency in backend frameworks (NestJS, Fastify, or Express). - Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms. - Strong understanding of databases (SQL + NoSQL). - Knowledge of async programming and API security (OAuth2/JWT). - Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices. - Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to improve code quality, productivity, and maintainability. Requirements - The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911-$161,544. - Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. - The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. - In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
