Environmental Project Manager
Montrose Environmental Group
• Manage a variety of environmental compliance projects including Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans; Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans; Hazardous Waste Stream Determinations; Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Management Plans; Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act Reports • Assume Project Management responsibilities including being the senior technical lead, working with a project team to manage risk, meeting project profitability goals, and managing both the internal team performance and client expectations • Conduct field work at client sites to collect data and conduct meetings and trainings • Oversee development of project document deliverable outlines and layouts, technical writing of reports, data interpretation, and development of graphical presentations in a logical and professional manner • Oversee project financial management duties including proposals, project set ups, forecasting, invoicing, and subcontractor management • Act as a client manager to understand customer needs and distribute work assignments and proposals to appropriate teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering or Environmental Studies; Advanced Degree preferred
- 10+ years of related experience, including internships and/or related scientific/field of study experience
- Knowledge of computer aided software (Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc.)
- General knowledge of environmental compliance and/or environmental engineering principles
- Knowledgeable of regulatory standards in an environmental technical area
- Ability to complete and maintain HAZWOPER certification with the 40-hour HAZWOPER environmental health and safety class, and annual 8-hour refresher class
- OSHA 30-hour training preferred

You'll spend three days a week in the office, allowing you to work remotely two days. This role will lead all project controls functions within a Project Management Office (PMO) supporting transmission and distribution Capital Projects. The role will guide project controls personnel, including cost engineers, scheduling staff, and financial administrative staff. The work will include collaboration with PMO team members, such as Project Managers and Program Managers, and direct interface with client management and site personnel.
