• Administer and monitor core Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Copilot. • Manage Microsoft Power Platform services including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI for performance, access, and integration governance. • Design, implement, and audit Conditional Access Policies to ensure secure and compliant access to Microsoft 365 services. • Configure and maintain tenant-connected applications using Microsoft Entra. Evaluate applications regularly for permissions, usage, and disuse. • Oversee compliance-related services within Microsoft Purview, including data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, data classification, and auditing. • Manage license assignments and availability. • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure M365 configurations align with regulatory frameworks and company standards. • Troubleshoot user and system issues across the Microsoft 365 tenant and escalate to Microsoft support when necessary. • Participate in the implementation of new features and updates released to Microsoft 365, assessing organizational impact and readiness. • Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, policies, and operational procedures. • Provide end-user guidance and administrative support for Teams collaboration, licensing, and lifecycle management. • Other duties as assigned.

Role Description The Domain Managing Architect provides strategic architectural leadership across the Individual Supplemental & Group Benefits domain. This role leverages enterprise architecture disciplines, frameworks, and tools to ensure technology solutions align with the long-term best interests of Horace Mann. - Develop and maintain current, future, and transitional state architectures. - Create conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models and diagrams. - Formulate and review high-level design documents. - Define, document, and govern architectural decisions across programs and projects. - Develop and enforce architecture policies, standards, and processes in partnership with the Chief Architect and CIO. - Identify and establish new enterprise building blocks and reusable architectural patterns. - Set direction for integration services and enterprise-wide reusable design patterns. - Guide architects and technical leads in aligning application development with architectural best practices. - Provide best-practice guidance in evaluating and selecting vendor products and technology platforms. - Lead risk identification and mitigation related to architecture decisions. - Collaborate with Solution Delivery Partners, architects, and technical leads to maintain current, target, and transition architectures. - Facilitate consensus across diverse technical and business teams. - Serve as a key contributor to strategic planning, roadmap development, and major program implementation. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences. - Prepare and present executive-level recommendations. - Establish best practices for architecture diagram development, governance, and repository management. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience. - 6–9 years of relevant experience in architecture or related technical leadership roles. - Brings broad cross-domain knowledge spanning enterprise and solution architecture, data platforms, integration, infrastructure, networking, and security to design scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions. - Experience working within an Enterprise Architecture framework (e.g., TOGAF). - Fluency in modern architecture practices, including cloud-native, microservices, event-driven, and AI-enabled architectures. - Proven experience leading legacy modernization and enterprise cloud transformation initiatives across complex technology landscapes. - Ability to define and govern enterprise architecture standards, patterns, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy. - Expertise in creating architecture artifacts and diagrams (e.g., Visio, draw.io). - Collaborate with business leaders, IT leadership, and engineering organizations to translate strategic objectives into scalable technology solutions. - Experience in risk management and executive-level presentations. - Demonstrated ability to lead across organizational boundaries and drive consensus. - Experience in the Insurance sector (Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Retirement (L&R) domains, including underwriting, policy administration, claims and billing) is strongly preferred.
