Medical Virtual Assistant – Psychiatry, Mental Health

• Manage inbound phone calls, including answering and routing calls through the business line • Handle and organize email communications • Manage provider calendars, appointments, and scheduling coordination • Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-ups • Assist with insurance verifications and eligibility checks • Process prior authorizations as needed • Support patient care coordination and administrative workflows • Maintain accurate and organized records • Perform additional delegated administrative tasks • Possibly provide basic social media support and content creation when needed

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical administrative role
  • Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
  • Experience working in a mental health or psychiatric practice is a plus
  • Proficiency with behavioral health platforms such as Grow Therapy, Headway, and Tebra is a plus
  • Experience providing basic social media support or content creation is a plus
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and processes
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to multitask effectively
  • Must be dependable, productive, and able to work independently
  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
  • Must have relevant work experience
  • Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
  • Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
