Job Description
Manager, Regional Supplier Quality
TerraPower
• Performing on-site and remote supplier oversight to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements. • Managing the day-to-day activities of the Supplier Quality staff including hiring, training, performance evaluation, etc. • Prepares and issues Supplier Quality surveillance assignments for execution by the assigned Supplier Quality Specialists and reviews/approves resulting reports. • Facilitates communication between on and off project personnel across disciplines; directs assigned Supplier Quality Specialists • Participates in resolution of technical and quality issues arising from area/shop Supplier Quality activities including monitoring of dispositions and corrections made to assure documented evidence of satisfactory closeout. • Plan and perform Supplier and Internal Audits as a Lead Auditor. • Perform general assessment and critique of nuclear quality programs and assessments • Work with Supply Chain management to resolve technical and quality deficiencies with Suppliers quality oversight of critical procurements to meet project milestones and schedules • Ensuring personal, industrial, and nuclear safety is a core aspect of daily work. • Fostering Nuclear Safety Culture Traits and Human Performance Tools both internally at TerraPower and with suppliers. • Attends specific shop visits such as initial visits, in-process surveillances performing Supplier Quality Specialist witness and hold points, or inspection activities at the shop. • Plan and perform commercial grade surveys of commercial suppliers
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, business, management, or quality assurance field.
- 10+ years’ experience in a nuclear (NRC, DOE) Quality function.
- 10+ years’ experience managing QA/QC personnel
- Current certification as NQA-1 Lead Auditor
