MRO
• Establish and lead operational excellence, lean, six sigma, or business optimization capability. • Drive enterprise alignment through OKRs, executive reporting, and performance management. • Build and lead improvement initiatives that deliver measurable cost reduction, quality improvements, and cycle time reductions. • Scale continuous improvement practices across the organization. • Advise leadership on transformation priorities, operational strategies, and resourcing models. • Provide coaching and leadership on agile, lean, and structured improvement methods. • Deliver change leadership to ensure adoption and sustainment of transformation initiatives. • Develop operational dashboards, performance scorecards, and executive reporting frameworks. • Build common approaches across departments to enable transparency and accountability. • Assist in sourcing initiatives to reduce operating cost and increase scalability. • Drive automation, digital workflows, and technology solutions (RPA, analytics, Smartsheet, PowerBI). • Partner with product & technology organizations on operational capability uplift.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years leading large-scale transformation, shared services, operations, or enterprise process improvement.
- Proven stakeholder management across corporate functions (IT, HR, Finance, Operations).
- Experience delivering major cost savings, operational efficiencies, and productivity improvements.
- Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and change leadership.
- Experience leading large organizations through technology, operating model, or sourcing transitions.
- Master Black Belt / Six Sigma Qualifications (Preferred).

Role Description We are seeking a skilled, experienced Technical Director to join our Operations and Maintenance Services team supporting a diverse array of treatment facilities across the US. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment, with a proven track record of providing operational and regulatory compliance expertise to drinking water treatment facilities. This role is critical to helping to ensure the stability, efficiency, and compliance of water treatment systems under our care. The position is location independent with an average expectation of 50% travel (typically 8-10 nights/month). Ideal location is Central or Mountain time zones. Close to a major airport is a plus for reduced travel time. - Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance across our portfolio of facilities on the operation of water treatment plants, including troubleshooting, process control and optimization, and regulatory compliance. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with facility-based operational staff, regulatory agencies, company leadership and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with plant performance goals and regulatory requirements. - Quality Assurance: Support the company’s QA programs to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and compliance with all relevant regulations. - Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and maintenance activities. Qualifications - Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field required. Course work in data science/statistical methods is a plus. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in water treatment operations, treatment process troubleshooting and/or regulatory roles. Plant supervisory experience and/or operational licensure is a plus. - Strong knowledge of SDWA requirements and industry standards for water treatment facility performance. - Experience in project or initiative management, including planning, execution, budgeting or costing, and stakeholder management. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
