This role will report to the Vice President, Field Revenue and will focus on supporting the Run/Walk Series in developing relationships, securing sponsors, and stewarding teams and registered participants. This position will jump into Run/Walks when assistance is needed. Key Duties/Responsibilities: - Lead existing volunteer committees and build new executive volunteer committees to assist with the fundraising and production of each Run/Walk event within the portfolio. - Executing sponsorship renewals, prospecting and cold calling to bring in new business for the ZERO Run/Walk Series. - Monitor the performance of fundraisers and fundraising teams to ensure timely responsiveness to new registrants, recognize fundraisers, encourage competition, and to spark new ideas to deepen fundraising results. - Develop and execute grassroots outreach plans to attract participants, teams, and sponsors with a vested interest in the cause. - Develop and execute volunteer plans for pre-race and race day; recruit, assign, manage, organize, train, and communicate with event day, event planning with the strongest emphasis on recruitment and management of executive committee members. - Make outbound touchpoints including phone calls, cards, texts and emails to increase the number of participants for events, increase the percent of participants fundraising and the average fundraising amounts. - Work to identify prospective fundraising teams and engage them in meaningful and impactful fundraising efforts for portfolio of events. - Steward team captains and individual participants to increase and strengthen fundraising efforts for portfolio of events. - Request, secure, and manage fundraising, sponsorship, and in-kind donations as needed. - Lead end-to-end event logistics, including site scouting, permitting, and mapping; manage vendor relationships and contracts; own budget planning, forecasting, and cost controls to deliver on time and within budget. - Attend in-person meetings and events as needed. • Write and edit copy for all ZERO marketing including email, website, social, fundraising, events, and printed materials. • Develop and maintain messaging that aligns with ZERO’s voice and values. • Collaborate with designers and Social Media Manager, as well as other contributors across the organization, to ensure copy is on-brand, on-strategy, and works seamlessly with visuals. • Optimize written content for quality, clarity, and performance across channels (web, email, social, etc.). • Ensure social media content aligns with brand voice and quality standards. • Support development of messaging frameworks and copy templates for scalable use across departments. • Champion brand voice and guidelines across the organization, acting as a resource and editor for cross-functional teams. • Collaborate on brand and marketing campaigns, including overarching concepts, headlines, and taglines. • Bring unique ideas for engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. • Utilize AI and other tools for proofing and to ensure high-quality content. • Demonstrate project management skills to effectively coordinate multiple requests, even with limited resources.
