As a Senior Scientific Liaison II in the Skincare Scientific Valorization Team, you will be responsible for supporting various elements of skincare product development from project initiation through market launch with a critical focus on communication of scientific knowledge, selection of active ingredients, and coordination of innovative testing. A Day in the Life: - Marketing Partnership & Technical Guidance: Start your day by collaborating with Marketing teams, providing in-depth technical explanations of new and existing skincare technologies to support upcoming product launches and marketing concept development. This might involve clarifying the science behind active ingredients or explaining the benefits of specific formulations. - Scientific Communication & Review: Review marketing materials, including concepts, cartons, packaging, advertising copy, website content, e-commerce descriptions, and training materials, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency across all platforms. - Innovation & Brainstorming: Dedicate time to exploring scientific and technical literature and publications, identifying new technical or marketing opportunities and serving as a creative catalyst for potential new technology discoveries and innovative ingredient communication. You'll brainstorm novel testing approaches to support claims for active ingredients and product performance. - Claims Management & Testing Coordination: Manage the product claims process by collecting requests from US Marketing, reviewing the existing test platform to ensure all claims are being addressed, and working closely with Safety and Analytical teams to coordinate necessary product testing and analysis. You'll also collaborate with the Clinical Evaluation team to schedule and oversee clinical, instrumental, and consumer testing. - Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results, providing technical support and interpretation of findings for both internal teams and external stakeholders. Prepare and issue technical dossiers for new products and modifications to existing products. - Public Relations & External Communication: Provide scientific support for public relations activities, acting as a technical expert for media inquiries and other external communication initiatives. This may involve preparing presentations or briefings for press events or conferences. We Are Looking For: - Education: A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science or engineering discipline is required. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred. - Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in the cosmetic/personal care or a related industry with a background in claims substantiation and scientific communication is required. Role Description We are seeking a skilled, experienced Technical Director to join our Operations and Maintenance Services team supporting a diverse array of treatment facilities across the US. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment, with a proven track record of providing operational and regulatory compliance expertise to drinking water treatment facilities. This role is critical to helping to ensure the stability, efficiency, and compliance of water treatment systems under our care. The position is location independent with an average expectation of 50% travel (typically 8-10 nights/month). Ideal location is Central or Mountain time zones. Close to a major airport is a plus for reduced travel time. - Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance across our portfolio of facilities on the operation of water treatment plants, including troubleshooting, process control and optimization, and regulatory compliance. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with facility-based operational staff, regulatory agencies, company leadership and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with plant performance goals and regulatory requirements. - Quality Assurance: Support the company’s QA programs to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and compliance with all relevant regulations. - Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and maintenance activities.
