Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and technically strong Director of Accounting and Reporting to support the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This role is responsible for managing key aspects of the monthly close, financial reporting, audits, payroll oversight, and technical accounting compliance while helping drive process improvements and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and solutions-oriented accounting professional with strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a high level of integrity. This individual should possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Success in this role requires a process-improvement mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships while supporting and developing a high-performing accounting team. - Lead and manage the monthly close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting - Oversee external audits, statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies - Research and document technical accounting matters and provide guidance on various accounting topics - Support acquisition and integration activities including accounting for the purchase - Oversee North America payroll activities and ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations and reporting - Oversee bank administration activities - Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, operations, and leadership to support business objectives and financial accuracy - Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability - Mentor and support staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required - CPA designation required - MBA or MS preferred - 15 years or more of accounting experience in a global company - 7 years or more of experience managing accounting functions - Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements - Experience overseeing payroll processes and related reporting - Ability to plan, assign and direct own work and work of others; ability to recruit, mentor and appraise employees - Advanced Microsoft products skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems and AI tools - Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a challenging environment Benefits - Healthcare benefits - 401(k) plan and company match - Paid vacation time and holidays - Well-living programs - Short-term and long-term disability coverage - Basic life insurance - Tuition reimbursement
