Role Description As a Government Contracting Accounting Manager, you will play a critical leadership role supporting government contracting clients with complex, compliance-driven accounting needs. This position offers the opportunity to lead client relationships, oversee full-cycle accounting operations, and deliver strategic financial insight in an environment governed by FAR, DCAA, and other federal regulations, while developing and mentoring a high-performing team. Duties & Responsibilities: - Oversee and support clients in maintaining government contract-compliant accounting, including managing staff responsible for transaction entry, financial cleanup, and preparing invoices for various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF). - Review financial statements and indirect cost rate calculations for government contractor clients. - Guide clients in resolving accounting challenges related to government contracts, including cost allowability, allocability, and compliance with government regulations. - Provide strategic advisory services to optimize financial performance, improve reporting, and ensure adherence to industry’s best practices. - Stay updated on government contracting regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements to proactively advise clients. - Lead and mentor junior accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. - Ensure high-quality deliverables within deadlines while exceeding client expectations. - Develop and prepare annual forward pricing budgets to support financial planning and government contract compliance. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting. - Demonstrated experience in public accounting, consulting, or outsourced accounting environments. - 5+ years of experience in government contracting. - In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). - Expertise in preparing the Incurred Cost Submission. - Experience with government contract accounting software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet). - Experience in leading a team and owning client relationships. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. - Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, to collaborate with clients and internal teams. Salary Range $135,000 — $160,000 USD

Role Description The Finance & Accounting Project Manager will serve as the operational quarterback for critical finance initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for organizing, driving, and monitoring high priority accounting and finance projects while ensuring cross functional alignment, accountability, and execution against deadlines. This position plays a key role in standing up international operations, including European Union accounting and compliance processes, while also leading internal finance transformation initiatives focused on reconciliations, process standardization, automation, reporting improvements, and operational scalability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - International & EU Operations Support - Coordinate finance and accounting workstreams associated with establishing European Union operations. - Assist with implementation of accounting processes, banking setup, vendor onboarding, tax registrations, compliance tracking, and operational readiness for international entities. - Coordinate with external advisors, legal, tax, payroll, and operational stakeholders to ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are met. - Help establish scalable month end close and reporting procedures for international operations. - Accounting Operations & Reconciliations - Assist accounting leadership with reconciliation cleanup projects and month end process improvement initiatives. - Coordinate remediation efforts tied to balance sheet reconciliations, reporting standardization, and workflow improvements. - Help organize ownership and prioritization of outstanding accounting action items. - Assist in establishing SOPs, process documentation, and standardized workflows across finance functions. - Cross Functional Coordination - Serve as liaison between Finance, HR, Operations, IT, Supply Chain, Payroll, and teams. - Ensure project communication remains organized, transparent, and action oriented. - Help improve collaboration across departments by establishing consistent project governance and communication structures. • Own the accuracy and integrity of monthly/quarterly/annual financial accounting close • Manage all key accounting functions including accrued expenses, internally-used software (ASC 350), sales commissions (ASC 340), etc.along with the periodic close process • Develop new and enhance existing accounting policies & procedures, and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) including drafting of desktop procedures for key areas • Prepare, review and provide flux analysis and key metrics to the broader Finance team in a timely manner • Work cross-functionally with FP&A, Technical Accounting, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to successfully align on effective accounting operating standards and practices • Work with the Technical Accounting team to develop and document process flows and procedures to implement new and/or relevant accounting standards • Assist with interim and year-end audits, as well as tax requests; • Supervise staff and provide development and coaching where appropriate.
