Associate Counsel

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including NDAs, client services agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements. • Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters, including compliance with financial regulations, data protection laws, and cryptocurrency-specific legislation. • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures. • Draft regulatory and law enforcement communications in response to regular requests and correspond with senior attorneys with respect to same. • Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments in the finance, fintech, and cryptocurrency space, and advise on their impact on the company’s operations. • Assist in the management of legal risks, including litigation risk, and provide strategic advice to support business objectives. • Liaise with external legal counsel as needed to address complex legal issues. • Support corporate governance matters and ensure adherence to internal policies and standards. • Conduct legal research and provide training to internal stakeholders on relevant legal topics.

Job Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial and regulatory work in the fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and cryptocurrency regulations, including securities laws, AML/KYC requirements, and data protection laws.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of drive, integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility.
