Role Description We invite a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team remotely. Please note: This will be a Service Agreement. We do not assist with visa sponsorship. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other teams to achieve complex objectives. - Responsible for security architecture design from cloud infrastructure to application through the implementation of "secure by design" principles. - Collaborate with product managers, architects, and developers on the implementation of the security controls platform ecosystem and products. - Proof security implementations within infrastructure and application deployment manifests and the CI/CD pipelines. - Define required policies, controls, and capabilities for the protection of products and environments. - Build and validate declarative threat models automation. - Participate in engineering teams’ product planning cycles and committees. - Oversee the product security aspects for migration of products and services from Data Center to public cloud, e.g., AWS. - Serve as a trusted cyber security advisor to product and application teams. Qualifications - Experience integrating security scanning/tooling into the development pipeline. - Experience in analysing and securing microservices and applications developed using JavaScript and Typescript. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (such as Gitlab, Jenkins) and infrastructure-as-a-code models (such as Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation). - Hands-on development experience in Python/shell scripting. - Strong understanding of supply chain security, software integrity, and secure software delivery. - Experience with Docker and mesh technologies (such as ISTIO). - Experience with architecture and security reviews, threat modelling, and application risk is highly desired. - Experience working with Agile methodologies. - Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR desired. - Familiarity with industry regulations, frameworks, and practices. For example, PCI, ISO 27001, NIST, etc. Requirements - In-depth experience with architecting secure services on Kubernetes. - Extensive experience with architecting secure services on AWS or on-prem data centers. - Security-related professional certifications e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSK, CCSP, CEH, are highly desirable. Role Description The Lighting Application Specialist is a person that has knowledge and proficiency in current commercial lighting systems, industry trends, lighting design, lighting controls and associated technologies. A Lighting Application Specialist will have the responsibility to audit and develop solutions that support cost-effective solutions for our customers, which include: - K-12 Schools - Universities - Hospitals - Municipalities - State Agencies - Federal Agencies Application of lighting includes both interior and exterior lighting solutions. The Lighting Application Specialist is a technical project developer within ESG’s lighting program that reports to and works closely with the Lighting Manager. Responsibilities include: - Understanding the technical needs and wants of a customer and turning that information into accurate concrete solutions. - Dealing with technical issues that include facility energy consumption analysis and reduction strategies, general capital improvements, and large-scale community lighting projects. - Responsible for technical strategies, costing of projects, provision of life cycle analysis of proposed systems, and assisting the delivery team to ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer. Estimated Time Allocation: Frequent travel (approximately 30%-60%), including overnight stays is required. The essential functions of the position include: - Ability to handle full project design responsibilities including, but not limited to: - Facility surveys of lighting and supporting electrical systems. - Evaluation of systems for possible improvements from a component, system, and controls level. - Design ideas based on aesthetics, safety, function, serviceability, and budget. - Provide material costing of designed improvements. - Provide life cycle analysis of improvements evaluating both energy and operational reductions. - Facilitate adequate communication among the internal team including any sub-contractors and customers by creating technical plans both written and schematic to convey solutions and risk. - Coordinate with installation teams to ensure proper design and intended performance of employed systems. - Be up to date with current lighting technologies and future trends. - Approve equipment before it is ordered to ensure accurate estimates and on-time delivery. - Familiar with Utility, State, and Federal lighting rebate programs. - Maintain high level of knowledge on IESNA, ASHRAE guidelines and Title 24. - Capable of generating and evaluating photometric layouts. - Provide training on the use of new systems to customers. Qualifications - Minimum of three (3) years related experience. - Bachelor’s degree. - In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, 10 years of related experience. - Preferred degrees in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or Business. - PE – (Professional Engineer License). - LEED Certification. - LC, CLEP, or CLMC – Certification. Requirements - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), especially good technical writing skills. - Problem solving and computer skills (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, etc.). - Group presentation skills and ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse workforce and customer base. - Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. - Ability to compose and write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. - Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and mechanical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. - Demonstrated ability to work a problem or task to conclusion, utilizing any resource available. - Maturity and professionalism to effectively handle frequent exposure to senior members at ESG, as well as with external organizations, customers, and the public.
