Role Description As a key person to the success of the team, you will be utilizing your credit analysis, organizational, communication and relationship management skills daily, including your industry knowledge and ensuring all transactions are seamless, as well as delivering exceptional customer service outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities - Pre-Lodgement Review - Review all loan applications before submission to ensure accuracy, completeness, and lender policy compliance. - Assess deal structure, serviceability, and documentation against individual lender requirements. - Identify and resolve issues prior to lodgement to minimise reworks, delays, and declines. - Liaise with brokers to request missing information or flag structural concerns early. - Pipeline Management - Take full ownership of the post-lodgement pipeline from submission through to settlement. - Proactively chase lenders for updates, approvals, and outstanding conditions. - Communicate deal progress to clients and brokers in a timely and professional manner. - Escalate delays or issues early and manage through to resolution. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date deal status records across the CRM. - Process & Quality - Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the lodgement-to-settlement workflow. - Contribute to the development and refinement of team SOPs and checklists. - Ensure compliance with Australian Privacy Act obligations and credit licensee requirements. - Support continuous improvement initiatives across deal quality and turnaround times. Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience in mortgage broking, loan processing, or credit assessment. - Strong knowledge of residential lending policy across major Australian lenders. - Proficient with CRM platforms, ideally Infynity or similar mortgage broking tools. - Demonstrated ability to read a credit file and identify structural or compliance issues. - Proven experience managing a loan pipeline independently from lodgement to settlement. - Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking preferred, or equivalent industry experience. - High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
