Job Summary We are looking for a Coupa Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain integrations between Coupa BSM (Business Spend Management) and the broader enterprise application landscape. The role focuses on Coupa Integration Cloud, API-based integrations, supplier onboarding flows, and data synchronization between Coupa and ERP, finance, HR, and payment systems. The ideal candidate has shipped meaningful Coupa integrations in production, understands the source-to-pay process end-to-end, and applies disciplined integration engineering practices. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop integrations between Coupa and enterprise systems including ERP, finance, payroll, and supplier networks. - Build integrations using Coupa Integration Cloud, Coupa Open APIs, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Workato. - Implement supplier onboarding integrations including supplier master, contracts, and catalog data flows. - Develop integrations supporting requisition, purchase order, invoice, and payment processes. - Implement chart-of-accounts, expense category, and lookup data synchronization between Coupa and source systems. - Build user, role, and approval-hierarchy synchronization between Coupa and identity systems. - Design error handling, retry, and reconciliation strategies for integration flows. - Implement integration security across Coupa endpoints, including OAuth flows, SSO patterns, and certificate-based authentication, ensuring that integration credentials follow least-privilege and lifecycle best practices. - Profile and optimize integration performance and batch sizing for high-volume scenarios, applying systematic measurement, targeted improvements, and data-driven validation to deliver quantifiable gains in throughput, latency, or resource efficiency. - Participate in Coupa release planning, regression testing, and platform upgrades. - Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT stakeholders on integration requirements. - Maintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the system remains supportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers onto over time. - Support production incidents related to Coupa integrations and drive durable fixes. - Stay current with Coupa releases and BSM platform evolution, regularly review release notes and community discussions, and translate noteworthy advances into concrete recommendations and adoption proposals for the team. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - Five or more years of integration engineering experience. - Hands-on experience integrating Coupa with enterprise systems. - Strong understanding of Coupa Integration Cloud and Coupa Open APIs. - Experience with at least one major iPaaS such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Workato. - Strong understanding of source-to-pay and procure-to-pay processes. - Solid SQL and data transformation skills. - Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, and integration security. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications - Coupa certifications. - Experience integrating Coupa with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite ERP systems. - Familiarity with Coupa Pay, Coupa Risk Assess, or Coupa Treasury. - Exposure to supplier-network integrations. - Experience supporting global BSM rollouts. • Databricks solution advocacy: articulate the value of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform — Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Photon, Databricks SQL, Workflows, MLflow, Mosaic AI, and Databricks Apps — tailoring presentations and demos to each prospect's business and technical context. • Technical consultation: act as the trusted Databricks expert during sales engagements, handling deep technical questions, addressing objections, and positioning Databricks against alternatives (Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, native cloud data warehouses, open-source Spark / Iceberg stacks). • Discovery and requirements gathering: lead structured discovery with data, analytics, and platform teams to capture current-state architecture, workloads, governance constraints, and target outcomes; translate findings into prioritised solution options. • High Level Solution design: design Databricks-based reference architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, covering ingestion, Lakehouse modelling (Bronze / Silver / Gold), Unity Catalog governance, MLOps with MLflow, GenAI patterns (RAG, fine-tuning, agentic), and cost / performance optimisation. • Demos and POCs: build and run compelling demos and time-boxed POCs on Databricks that prove value against agreed success criteria. • RFPs and proposals: own the technical content of RFP / RFI responses, technical proposals, architecture diagrams, and Statements of Work in collaboration with the Commercial and Delivery teams; ensure SOWs are accurate, deliverable, and commercially sound. • Cross-functional collaboration: act as the connective tissue between Sales, Practice Leads (Data Engineering, ML, GenAI, Platform), and Delivery, ensuring proposed solutions are deliverable, commercially sensible, and aligned to capacity and timelines. • Partner alignment: work hand-in-glove with Databricks field teams — account executives, specialist SAs, partner managers — on joint pursuits, co-selling motions, and partner programmes. • Delivery embedment: Periodically, you will be embedded with the delivery team in a billable role on client engagements — typically as a Databricks Solutions Architect during design or mobilisation phases — keeping you close to the platform and ensuring pre-sales commitments land cleanly in delivery.
