Merchandising Associate - Home, Tabletop & Children's

What began as the aspirational source for couples getting married has grown into a cult fashion, home, and children’s shopping destination as well as an elevated wedding and baby registry provider. We are entering an exciting new stage of growth and looking to expand our team.  Over The Moon is looking for a Merchandising Associate to oversee and grow our Tabletop, Home, and Children’s categories. The ideal candidate is passionate about beautifully curated assortments, has a strong background in merchandising, and is excited to help build a brand portfolio that drives customer excitement and sales. Key Responsibilities - Brand Relationships Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing brand partners, acting as the primary point of contact for tabletop, home and children’s brands. - Research and onboard new brands that align with Over The Moon’s aesthetic, values and customer preferences. - Negotiate terms with brands, including margins and shipping arrangements. - Assortment Strategy: - Curate compelling online and popup store assortments across the tabletop, home and children’s categories, ensuring alignment with seasonal trends, customer insights and sales data. - Manage dropship and wholesale aspects of the business within each department. - Partner with the marketing and teams to bring collections to life through storytelling and visual merchandising. - Operational Excellence: - Oversee the onboarding process for new brands and products. - Track performance metrics, analyze sales and returns data, and make data-driven decisions to optimize assortment and improve profitability. - Monitor brand shipping compliance with agreed upon drop-shipping timelines. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with the marketing and editorial teams to create category-specific campaigns, events and activations that drive sales and brand retention. - Work closely with the registry team to identify top-performing bands and products that resonate with couples and gift-givers.  - Collaborate with customer service and operations to address product-related inquiries and enhance the customer experience.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or category management, preferably in tabletop, home and children’s categories.
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other ecommerce and marketplace platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with keen eye for detail and design.
  • Passion for lifestyle and luxury products, with natural ability to identify trends and customer preferences.
