• Design & build distributed data systems – craft APIs, schemas, and replication paths that keep petabytes of workflow history durable and query-able. Clearly document design choices and operational knowledge to successfully deploy and run service with those features. • Drive reliability & performance – own SLOs, create chaos-test plans, profile hot paths, and lead incident reviews. • Technical leadership – break down roadmap epics, mentor mid-level engineers, steward design docs through RFC. • Cross-team collaboration – partner with the Server, Cloud, and DX teams to land features end-to-end.

Role Description The Staff Solutions Architect is Temporal's primary customer-facing technical leader within the Banking team, with a focus on the APJ (India) region. In this crucial role, you’ll work directly with prospects and customers, guiding them in understanding the suitability of their applications for Temporal’s platform and showcasing the technical advantages of our cloud service. Your contribution is vital in positioning Temporal against alternative technologies, helping customer engineering teams expand production applications using Temporal, and owning the technical relationship with key decision-makers. Your role is integral to our success. - Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal’s platform well. - Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service. - Position Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns. - Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase the adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments. - Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans. - Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations, ensuring they fully leverage Temporal’s capabilities. Compensation The estimated pay range for this role is ₹8,000,000 - ₹10,000,000. This is a base salary and variable role with a 70/30 split. Role Description Temporal is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to support our Commercial Sales team in a consumption-based business where customer success drives revenue growth. You'll work across the full sales cycle, from initial technical evaluations with new prospects through helping existing customers expand their use of Temporal in production. The nature of our business means you'll spend significant time helping customers who've already adopted Temporal unlock more value by expanding into additional use cases, teams, and workloads. This is a high-velocity, technically deep role. You'll partner with developers, architects, and engineering leaders at fast-moving companies to help them understand how Temporal fits into their existing architecture and prove out value through hands-on technical work. You'll be working in a consumption model where usage grows over time, which means building strong technical relationships and staying engaged with accounts as they scale. As an early member of a growing team, you should be comfortable with ambiguity, frequent context switching, and creating leverage through reusable assets that help the broader team move faster. Must reside in Central or Eastern time zone. Role Description As a Senior Language Runtime Engineer, you will build and evolve the Nexus interfaces for the Temporal SDKs—the primary way developers interact with Temporal. Nexus is Temporal’s durable execution framework for orchestrating work across team and application boundaries—providing improved modularity, security, debuggability, and fault isolation. Building Nexus into each SDK is a deep engineering challenge: these are not thin clients but full-fledged runtime environments that execute user workflows, manage durable state transitions, and coordinate closely with the Temporal Server. You will design and implement Nexus APIs and runtime behaviors across multiple languages, ensuring developers can easily compose, invoke, and integrate durable workflows using clear, idiomatic interfaces. We are looking for someone that loves programming languages and is a strong polyglot with deep domain expertise in at least 2 of the following languages: - Python - TypeScript - .NET - Ruby - Rust This role will be central in delivering new Nexus-powered features such as advanced durable execution patterns, async processing, and support for invoking workflows via industry-standard protocols. Most of this work is open source—explore it at GitHub —and you’ll collaborate closely with other SDK engineers to deliver a unified, delightful experience for our polyglot developer community. Qualifications - At least 7 years of experience in a production environment as an "Arranger" and/or "Builder/Enhancer" of highly scalable distributed systems. - Solid computer science fundamentals in distributed systems concepts including multi-threading and concurrency. - Experience writing concurrent code in production with languages like Go, Java, Python, TypeScript, .NET or other applicable languages with skill level as "high end of Intermediate" and/or "Advanced" or "Expert" levels. - Experience designing APIs, SDK libraries or working with Open Source Systems.
