Data Science Specialist I – Portfolio

Grupo Boticário

• Develop Data Science solutions with a predictive and prescriptive focus, involving machine learning models (supervised and unsupervised) and optimization techniques that meet the business's strategic needs; • Execute the stages of a DS solution lifecycle: from business understanding, study, feature engineering and variable preparation, to model building and performance validation, providing the necessary support to deploy developed solutions to production; • Design, together with business areas, the use and monitoring of models, ensuring that predictions and prescriptions generate real and recurring value; • Identify opportunities to apply Generative AI and NLP as accelerators or analytical complements in day-to-day solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Solid knowledge in Statistics and Machine Learning (supervised and unsupervised predictive modeling);
  • Fluency in Python and SQL (R considered a plus);
  • Analytical and creative thinking to design structured solutions that address different types of business needs;
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex results clearly;
  • Genuine business interest: willingness to dive into the processes, metrics and main pain points of the business area you will support;
  • Knowledge of version control (Git) and familiarity with Cloud environments;
  • Experience with AI-assisted code development (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.).
  • DIFFERENTIALS:**
  • Experience with prescriptive modeling and/or optimization models (operations research, simulations, decision algorithms);
  • Practical experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing): traditional techniques (TF-IDF, embeddings) or transformer-based architectures;
  • Knowledge of LLMs and Generative AI: use of frameworks (such as LangChain, LlamaIndex), Prompt Engineering techniques, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or fine-tuning applied to business contexts.
