Senior Data Product Analyst

• Work within a data organization structured into specialized fronts: Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Intelligence (AI), DataOps, Architecture, and Governance, acting as the link between PMs and technical squads; • Partner directly with the PM/Data Product and DataOps leadership to ensure deliverables have clear scope, success metrics, and visibility across the organization; • Serve as Product Owner within the area, responsible for keeping the backlog healthy, ensuring requests are well defined and deliveries are traceable end-to-end; • Support the PM in prioritizing and refining the data roadmap based on business impact and squad capacity; • Ensure intake requests are well defined before entering the backlog, with acceptance criteria, mapped data sources, and clear owners; • Create and maintain epics and tasks in Monday.com Dev, ensuring traceability between stakeholder requests and technical delivery; • Facilitate refinement ceremonies with squads, even in a model without formal sprints; • Act as the primary guardian of the area’s operational metrics: average cycle time, on-time delivery rate, backlog aging, post-delivery NPS, and rework rate; • Support DataOps leadership with visibility into capacity, bottlenecks, and SLAs per front; • Build and maintain delivery tracking dashboards so any stakeholder can understand the status of their requests; • Conduct periodic metric reviews with the PM and front-line leaders; • Proactively communicate progress, impediments, and deadline changes; • Support the PM in roadmap review ceremonies and monthly retrospectives; • Ensure delivered data products have minimum documentation, validated acceptance criteria, and identified business owners; • Identify opportunities to reuse analytical assets and propose process improvements to the PM.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed);
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master or Agilist with hands-on experience in data, analytics, or technical platform contexts;
  • Proficiency with prioritization frameworks (RICE, MoSCoW, ICE) and backlog management;
  • Experience with product and project management tools; Monday.com will be your primary working environment.

We’re looking for a knowledgeable Data Scientist - Product Analytics to support decision-making for our product teams. This role will partner closely with Product Managers (PMs) who own parts of Coursera’s educator or learner experience. Our ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and dashboarding skills, familiarity with A/B testing, good product sense, and the ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations that drive innovative product development. - Develop an understanding of Coursera’s products, business, and learners to tie insights and analysis to actionable recommendations. - Analyze the results of A/B tests and conduct deep dives on our learner and product experiences. - Create dashboards and set up systems and tools for tracking product metrics. - Create leverage by enabling Product Managers to better self-serve data on their product area. - Present findings and recommendations to product teams and cross-functional partners in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications - Background in economics, statistics, data science, computer science, or a related technical field. - 3+ years of experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or business intelligence analyst. - Strong SQL skills and proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, R). - Proficiency in BI tools (e.g. Sigma, Databricks, Looker, Tableau). - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
