Senior Electrical Engineer – Grid Modernization

Ulteig

• Facilitate collaboration across disciplines and project team members • Serve as client contact to define project scope and understand requirements • Develop capital construction plans supporting Grid Modernization initiatives • Create technical solutions to address client distribution system challenges • Perform distribution planning studies, including Distributed Energy Resource (DER) impact analysis • Prepare deliverables such as system study reports, consultative reports, capital construction plans, cost-benefit analyses, and construction specifications • Partner with clients to develop customized solutions for distribution grid challenges and modernization goals • Provide oversight of QA/QC processes for deliverables prepared by team members

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school
  • Minimum of 14 years engineering experience is required
  • PE license required
  • Proficiency in Synergi Electric, Milsoft Windmil, or Eaton CymeDist is required
  • Previous experience working for or with a vertically integrated Utility is preferred
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and GIS applications is preferred
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US.

Role Description Miller-Remick is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support multiple concurrent capital projects ranging from $5M - $100M across a variety of markets, with a strong focus on healthcare.
