Mechanical Engineer

Role Description Miller-Remick is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support multiple concurrent capital projects ranging from $5M - $100M across a variety of markets, with a strong focus on healthcare. This person should have a proven history of performing work with efficiency and periodic oversight. - Responsible for execution of assigned tasks and preparation of drawings and specifications from initial concept through bid documents and construction administration. - Support mechanical design on multiple projects, working based off established priorities. - Accountable for technical quality of engineering tasks on assigned projects. - Support the development of project-specific technical reports, calculations, construction drawings, and technical specifications. - Exercise judgement, utilize technical engineering practices and techniques in the evaluation and resolution of problems when encountered. - Participate in project design and coordination meetings. - Responsible for communication with all other disciplines to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements. - CA effort includes engineering site visitation, field report documentation, submittal review, response to project RFI’s, and review of mechanical change order requests along with coordination with client, contractors, and subcontractors on assigned projects. - Conduct mechanical field surveys of existing conditions and prepare field reporting. - Collaborate and fully coordinate with multi-discipline project team of internal and external architects and engineers. Role Description Miller-Remick is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support multiple concurrent capital projects ranging from $5M - $100M across a variety of markets, with a strong focus on healthcare. This person should have a proven history of performing complex work with efficiency and some oversight. - Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects. - Prepare electrical construction drawings and specifications for medium- and low-voltage power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems. - Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, panel schedules, and equipment sizing. - Design branch power, lighting, emergency power, and lighting control systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards. - Support the development of single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and electrical room layouts. - Coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and civil disciplines for coordinated project delivery. - Conduct site surveys and field investigations to document existing electrical conditions. - Participate in project meetings and coordination discussions with clients, contractors, and internal teams. - Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs for conformance with project requirements. - Support construction administration activities including field observations and punch list reviews. - Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, AGi32, and other engineering software for design and analysis. - Perform photometric calculations and assist with lighting layout development. - Prepare engineering reports, studies, and basis of design narratives. - Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives. - Collaborate with multi-discipline project team of internal and external architects and engineers to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
