Calor
Role Description The Customer Engineering team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Gas Engineer providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in the area. - Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets at customer sites. - Travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base. - Participation in a standby rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours. Qualifications - ACS Gas Qualified. - Experience in dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care. - Any relevant gas engineering experience would be considered useful. - Understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders would be a distinct advantage. - Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness. - Full UK driving licence is essential. Requirements - Be able to follow procedures and instructions. - Flexible, positive, and adaptable approach. - Willingness to travel. - Ability to communicate clearly. - Excellent customer service skills, be patient and ensure customer needs are met. - Team player and works well with others. - Good organisational skills. - Ability to monitor quality and reject sub-standard work. Description The Role: The Fluids Management Specialist is the single-point authority for General Motors' Global Propulsion System (GPS) Metal Removal Fluids (MRF) strategy and approvals. The position leads the Metal Removal Fluid Strategy Team (MRFST) and provides strategic direction, technical governance, and standardized coolant management practices for metalworking fluids and related chemistries. The specialist authorizes new or changed MRF uses and aligns plants, Chemical Managers, suppliers, and corporate stakeholders.
