Payer Compliance Specialist I

• Analyzes allowed amounts received on USAP claims for appropriateness per contract • Reviews electronic and manual postings associated with variances • Appeals for re-processing and requests corrections as necessary • Identifies and resolves payer issues that negatively impact receivables • Frequently communicates with various departments and insurance companies • Requires independent thinking, problem solving, and strong analytical skills
Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare revenue cycle
- Functional knowledge of Excel and Word required
- Basic knowledge of managed care programs and healthcare billing requirements necessary
- Good mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must display a teamwork attitude and possess good interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology and concepts preferred
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, and ASA coding preferred

Role Description The Trade Specialist is responsible for the scope and pricing review of our occupied service requests in an assigned region. This person will manage a queue of tasks, support cross-functional operations teams, and contribute to our standardized pricing tools. - Use your maintenance knowledge to review and validate estimates above our standard not to exceed limits - Share maintenance knowledge with internal teams by leading training and providing context on complex scopes - Serve as a liaison to vendors for all needs regarding scope and pricing - Support our R&M team by remaining available and processing onsite increase requests - Review the quality of work to assist our teams with escalations - Assist in projects regarding price books and standardization - Review invoice submissions to ensure the work has been completed and pricing is inline with expectations - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in residential maintenance, construction, home insurance, or estimating - Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate deals and an understanding of fair and optimal pricing structures - Excellent planning, organization, delivery skills, and comfortable in high-pressure situations - Excellent attention to detail - Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication to work successfully with a range of stakeholders including regional employees, field staff, office staff, executive leadership, and external customers - Thrives in a fast-paced and startup environment - Tech-savvy Requirements - This position is classified as REMOTE but must be located in Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL, or Charlotte, NC Compensation - $60,000 - $74,000 annually.
