Client Account Lead – Financial Services

• Own and drive account strategy, delivery, and growth for a portfolio of strategic Financial Services accounts, creating and executing long-term growth plans aligned to client goals and phData’s capabilities. • Serve as the senior account leader for your portfolio, accountable for client satisfaction, revenue growth, delivery quality, profitability, and executive relationship management. • Translate client business objectives and AI & Data priorities into strategic programs spanning data platforms, pipelines, governance, analytics, and AI, in partnership with data engineering, analytics, and ML teams. • Help Financial Services clients address critical business priorities such as regulatory reporting, risk management, fraud detection, customer intelligence, operational efficiency, and AI enablement. • Ensure engagements across your portfolio are delivered on time, within scope, and with strong profitability and measurable business value, while maintaining approximately 40% utilization to stay close to delivery and client outcomes. • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping shape roadmaps, influence strategic decisions, and guide long-term transformation initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Go-to-Market, Delivery, Finance, Product, and Partner teams to align on account health, project success, and future opportunity. • Provide strategic leadership during executive meetings, workshops, QBRs, and roadmap discussions, positioning phData as a trusted advisor to both business and technology stakeholders within Financial Services organizations. • Ensure high quality in deliverables by staying engaged with delivery teams, reviewing performance metrics, and driving governance, risk management, and issue resolution across accounts. • Partner with ecosystem providers such as Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, and others to design and execute joint account strategies that bring added value to clients and accelerate portfolio growth. • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning, feedback, and continuous improvement. • Contribute to internal initiatives such as Financial Services industry playbooks, account planning frameworks, sales enablement materials, and repeatable patterns for driving AI & Data outcomes in the sector. • Represent phData with professionalism at industry events, conferences, and panels, helping elevate our presence and reputation within Financial Services. • Share best practices, deal learnings, and client insights to improve phData’s client engagement model, forecasting, and overall delivery excellence. • Help define and refine practice standards, reusable assets, and delivery frameworks that support account success across the Financial Services portfolio.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, or similar client-facing environments, including ownership of strategic account portfolios and revenue targets in the $5M-$15M+ range.
- Significant experience leading and growing relationships within Financial Services accounts, with accountability for client outcomes, portfolio expansion, and executive engagement.
- Proven experience managing complex enterprise programs and account portfolios in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Deep domain expertise in Financial Services, including one or more of the following segments: banking, capital markets, payments, insurance, wealth and asset management, or fintech.
- Ability to identify Financial Services business pain points and connect them to phData’s AI & Data services and solutions.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with data engineering, analytics, and ML teams to design, sell, and oversee implementation of modern data solutions including data platforms, pipelines, governance, analytics, and AI.
- Strong understanding of the data, governance, compliance, risk, and security considerations common in Financial Services environments.
- Proven ability to own revenue and profitability across a portfolio of strategic accounts, delivering growth through both net-new and expansion work.
- Experience delivering projects for external or internal clients in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Ability to break down complex problems into structured, actionable steps and drive them through to completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including experience leading executive-level conversations and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within matrixed, distributed, and cross-functional teams across Sales, Delivery, Product, and Partners.
- Proven track record of building and sustaining CxO and senior executive relationships, influencing strategic roadmaps across both business and technology stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, depending on client needs and business priorities, while taking full ownership of account outcomes.
