What you get to do: - Architect and manage global cloud networking infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including VPC and VNet design, routing, segmentation, and connectivity governance. - Implement and operate hybrid connectivity solutions such as AWS Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Azure Virtual WAN. - Design and maintain secure private connectivity patterns including PrivateLink, Private Endpoints, and Site-to-Site VPNs. - Configure, manage, and optimise Palo Alto Networks firewalls in cloud environments, including centralised policy management through Panorama. - Support Prisma Access and Prisma Remote VPN to enable secure remote workforce connectivity. - Develop and govern Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code for network and firewall automation, ensuring scalable, secure, and repeatable deployments. - Collaborate with Security, Platform, and Cloud teams to align on network governance, compliance requirements such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001, and operational reliability. - Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimisation across multi-region cloud environments. - Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and network standards in Confluence. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in cloud networking or infrastructure engineering roles with deep expertise in enterprise networking. - Deep experience with AWS networking services, including: - VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway (TGW) - Direct Connect, VPN Site-to-Site - PrivateLink / Private Endpoints - Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and multi-region connectivity patterns. - Proven Palo Alto firewall administration experience. - Security policy optimization and traffic segmentation. - Terraform skills, including modular network deployments. - CCNA or CCNP is mandatory. - Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, connectivity, firewall policies, and performance issues. - Experience working in regulated environments with high availability expectations. Compliance Analyst

Role Description The Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing the AML and KYC requirements, while supporting the business in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial crime risk. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining a robust compliance risk management system, with emphasis on AML, client onboarding, anti-corruption, and conflict of interests. - Ensures that procedures and controls are properly implemented in business processes. - Oversees key Compliance risks through comprehensive monitoring and testing. - Oversees relationships with partner banks. - Implements new controls and interprets compliance requirements. - Supports the Senior Compliance & Data Protection Manager in executing effective compliance programmes and risk management practices. Key Responsibilities - Risk Assessment and Mitigation: - Conduct risk assessment for new clients, vendors, products, and market entries to identify and mitigate compliance risks. - Manage ongoing AML, sanctions screening, KYC, and due diligence checks, ensuring compliance with South African and international regulations. - Implement and maintain an agile compliance risk management system based on recognised standards. - Ensure alignment with Paymentology's risk appetite and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in the AML/KYC space. - Reporting and Documentation: - Prepare accurate reports and documentation for senior management, regulatory bodies, and internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate robust compliance controls. - Establish systems for maintaining accurate records of compliance activities, including documentation of policies, training sessions, and supporting audits, reviews, and investigations. - Coordinate completion of compliance-related due diligence questionnaires, requested by clients during onboarding and as needed. - Support Paymentology's third-party risk management process and due diligence efforts for new and existing clients. - Maintain the Enhanced Due Diligence process and records. - Investigating Issues: - Support investigations of complaints, incidents, allegations, or potential violations of compliance standards, and take appropriate corrective actions as necessary. - Identify root causes of compliance issues and breaches and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Supporting Operations: - Ensure day-to-day operations adhere to relevant compliance standards and policies. - Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed. - Keep abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to Paymentology's operations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance. - Conduct research on regulatory and compliance requirements in different regions of operation, with a focus on AML/KYC regulations. - Update internal teams on relevant changes and implications for the organisation. - Support the business in complying with frameworks, processes, and best practices. - Communicate compliance policies and procedures to ensure that team members understand their obligations and responsibilities. - Lead on special projects, such as implementing compliance tools, systems and ensure effective change management. - Managing Compliance Audits: - Perform regular reviews and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programmes and identify areas for improvement or corrective action. - Coordinate and drive compliance reviews conducted by external parties. - Liaise with multiple teams within Paymentology to collect and review necessary documentation and samples. - Providing Training and Guidance: - Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate staff members on compliance requirements, ethical standards, and expected best practices. - Support the development and rollout of the annual learning program in both in-person and e-learning formats. - Provide guidance on compliance-related inquiries and issues. - Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of compliance efforts with overall business objectives. - Establish and maintain productive relationships with Alliance partner banks to address compliance-related issues and support their compliance requirements. - Negotiate solutions that align with both company and external party requirements. - Perform reviews for new market entries, product development, and anti-financial crimes programs (e.g. gifts and entertainment approval). Qualifications - Strong understanding of the global regulatory landscapes and industry standards, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Know Your Customer (KYC), sanctions screening, and Anti-Corruption regulations. - In-depth knowledge of global AML legislation (e.g. EU AML Directives and the new AML Regulations), FATF guidelines, UK Bribery Act, FCPA, Global Sanctions Regimes. - Proficiency in risk analysis techniques with ability to apply and implement risk management frameworks and tools. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. - Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint. - Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to address compliance issues and reach consensus. - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills. - Proven track record in driving and managing change collaboratively, ideally in a regional or global role. - Effective organisational and project management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects. - Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and effectively operationalise them. - Familiarity with compliance-related software tools, such as sanction screening, (digital) identity verification and AML monitoring systems. - Familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools is a plus. Service Enablement Manager

Role Description The Service Enablement Manager sits within the Service Delivery team, reporting to the Service Delivery Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring that Paymentology's platform capabilities are effectively operationalised, enabling clients and internal teams to get the most from our issuer-processing technology. You'll work at the intersection of payments, platform operations, and ITSM — bringing structure, insight, and momentum to how services are delivered and continually improved. - Own and drive service enablement activities across Paymentology's platform, ensuring operational readiness for new product features, integrations, and client onboarding milestones. - Act as the operational bridge between engineering, product, and client-facing teams — translating platform capabilities into service-ready outcomes. - Manage and maintain ITSM processes including service catalogue, knowledge management, and continual service improvement (CSI) initiatives aligned to ITIL best practices. - Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineering teams to understand deployment pipelines, infrastructure changes, and release cycles — ensuring service impact is accessed and communicated effectively. - Monitor service health across Kubernetes-hosted environments, working with SRE and platform teams to track availability, incident trends, and operational performance metrics. - Develop and maintain service documentation, runbooks, and enablement materials that support internal teams and client-facing stakeholders. - Track and report on service KPIs including SLA adherence, MTTR, incident frequency, and client satisfaction — driving accountability across delivery functions. - Support client onboarding and programme launches by coordinating service readiness activities across technical and operational teams. - Execution and enablement of new services, integrations, or migrations, including scheme utilities, in the production environment, in collaboration with Engineering and other relevant teams. - Identify service gaps and operational risks, escalating and driving resolution across engineering, product, and commercial stakeholders. Qualifications - 8+ years in a service management, service delivery, or technical operations role within a fintech, payments, or financial services environment. - Solid understanding of the payment’s ecosystem — card issuing, issuer-processing, scheme operations (Visa/Mastercard), and how digital banking products are built and operated. - Hands-on experience with ITSM frameworks and tools — ITIL certification (Foundation or above) strongly preferred. - Experience working alongside DevOps or platform engineering teams, with an understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices, and release cycles. - Working knowledge of Kubernetes — able to understand containerised service environments, pod health, and deployment concepts without needing to be a platform engineer. - Strong analytical and communication skills — comfortable presenting service performance data to both technical teams and senior business stakeholders. - Demonstrable experience managing service catalogues, SLA frameworks, and knowledge bases in a cloud-first or SaaS environment. Requirements - Experience in a card issuing, issuer-processing, or embedded finance platform environment. - Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling such as Datadog, Grafana, or equivalent platforms. - Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience supporting globally distributed services across multiple time zones. - Understanding of PCI-DSS, data privacy, and compliance requirements in a payments context. - Experience working in a globally distributed team across multiple time zones. Role Structure This is an individual contributor role with a blend of governance, coordination, and hands-on operational execution. The role requires strong cross-functional engagement across technical, operational, and delivery teams while also actively driving and executing production readiness activities directly. Senior Software Engineer

Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale Java backend services that power our global payments infrastructure. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery, contribute to technical strategy, and help raise the engineering bar across the organisation. - Lead the design and development of backend services, distributed systems, and APIs. - Own features end-to-end (architecture, coding, testing, observability, and deployment). - Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, following engineering best practices and test-driven development. - Break down complex technical work into manageable chunks. - Work in a collaborative, cross functional, agile team environment. - Mentor associate and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. - Identify, document, and deliver technical improvements (performance, reliability, scalability). - Participate in incident response and support rotations. This role includes participation in an on-call rotation, with on-call duties scheduled for one week out of every five weeks. Qualifications - Significant commercial experience with modern Java 15 (We’re currently moving to 21. Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale Java backend services that power our global payments infrastructure. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery, contribute to technical strategy, and help raise the engineering bar across the organisation. - Lead the design and development of backend services, distributed systems, and APIs. - Own features end-to-end (architecture, coding, testing, observability, and deployment). - Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, following engineering best practices and test-driven development. - Break down complex technical work into manageable chunks. - Work in a collaborative, cross functional, agile team environment. - Mentor associate and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. - Identify, document, and deliver technical improvements (performance, reliability, scalability). - Participate in incident response and support rotations. This role includes participation in an on-call rotation, with on-call duties scheduled for one week out of every five weeks. Qualifications - Significant commercial experience with modern Java 15 (We’re currently moving to 21. As a guide, multiple projects with 5+ years of experience). - Proven experience designing, building and maintaining distributed systems and microservices. - Deep understanding of Object-Oriented programming. - Familiarity with event-driven architectures or Domain Driven Design. - Love to work using TDD. - Strong grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling. - Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), containerisation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code. - Nice to have, but not critical, experience in fintech, payments, or other high-throughput/regulated domains. - Most importantly, a desire to learn, grow and collaborate with an amazing team.
