Role Description As a Scrum Master for the DEWALT Construction Technology team, you will facilitate Agile practices and coach a global team of software engineers and digital developers. You will help deliver innovative workflow management solutions for building construction component prefabrication, ensuring high-quality, cybersecure digital technologies that enhance customer advocacy for our DEWALT products. You are passionate about empowering teams, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll get to: - Facilitate Scrum Events: - Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Coach Agile Practices: - Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. - Remove Impediments: - Proactively identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team’s progress. - Support Product Owner: - Assist the Product Owner with backlog management, refinement, and prioritization. - Foster Collaboration: - Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders. - Promote Continuous Improvement: - Encourage a culture of learning and adaptation by helping the team reflect and improve their processes. - Ensure Quality Delivery: - Help the team deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions in a cloud environment within pre-established release timelines. - Champion Agile Mindset: - Advocate for Agile values and principles across the team and organization. Qualifications - Experience 7+ years as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role, in software development environments. - Strong knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement). - Experience on tracking and reporting on sprint progress, team velocity, and performance metrics. - Familiarity with Agile frameworks like Jira is essential. Work as the administrator of the scrum board and ensure tickets stay updated in Jira. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills. - Proven ability to resolve conflicts and remove obstacles, preventing the delivery team from over-committing and scope creep during sprint planning. - Ability to guide teams to deliver high-quality code and services through time-boxed iterations/sprints. - Experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams. - Ability to promote Agile values of transparency, inspection, and adaptation. - Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and secure software development practices is a plus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution abilities. - Deep understanding of Scrum artifacts, ceremonies, and roles. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. - Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar certification is highly desirable.
