Role Description We are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Compass Technology Integrations team. This hands-on role is responsible for leading and executing the integration of technology platforms, infrastructure, and cloud services for newly acquired companies within Compass Group. The Sr. Systems Engineer will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and delivering complex migration and modernization initiatives across enterprise environments. - Migrate email platforms to Microsoft Exchange Online. - Consolidate enterprise data into Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. - Assess and document existing server infrastructure and business applications. - Develop migration and modernization strategies. - Manage DNS and domain migrations into AWS Route 53. - Support cybersecurity hardening initiatives, including deployment and management of CrowdStrike Falcon endpoint protection. - Perform critical migrations, cutovers, and security deployments during after-hours and weekend maintenance windows. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 5+ years of experience engineering and supporting enterprise Windows and hybrid cloud environments. - 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and migrating Microsoft 365 environments. - Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online and related email technologies. - Experience administering and supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Group Policy, hybrid identity, SSO, MFA, and identity management. - Strong experience supporting and managing virtualized enterprise environments. - Experience migrating servers, applications, and infrastructure between on-premises virtualized environments and AWS cloud services. - Experience with cybersecurity hardening practices and endpoint protection technologies. - Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or other languages. - Hands-on experience with migration tools such as BitTitan MigrationWiz, MoveBot, ShareGate, Quest, or similar platforms is a plus. - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, infrastructure assessment, and root cause analysis skills. - Strong project coordination, organization, and time management skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. - Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong customer service focus.
