System Administrator
Intersect Power
• Administer and maintain Windows and macOS systems to ensure stability, performance, and availability • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies across platforms such as Google Workspace • Perform regular system updates, patching, backups, and monitoring to maintain reliable environments • Resolve escalated support tickets and act as a technical escalation point when needed • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, access management, and basic training • Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and standard support procedures • Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems and business applications • Manage software licenses, subscriptions, and compliance across the organization • Support SaaS platforms and internal tools used across teams • Maintain IT asset inventory and oversee device lifecycle management • Apply IT security best practices, including endpoint protection, access controls, and account hygiene • Assist with backups, disaster recovery planning, and incident response activities • Identify potential security risks and recommend practical, scalable improvements • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and internal documentation • Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, automation, and overall system reliability • Provide guidance and basic training to end users on IT tools and best practices
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT support and system administration roles
- Experience supporting end users in a business or corporate environment
- Proficiency with Windows and/or macOS operating systems
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS and VPNs
- Experience with software deployment, patching, and license management
- Familiarity with cloud-based productivity platforms such as Google Workspace
- Experience using ticketing systems and remote support tools; familiarity with Jira will help you succeed
- Exposure to basic scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or Apps Script) will help you succeed
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and commitment to documentation
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset that builds trust with teammates
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote work environment
