Lead Field Service Technician

• Leads successful on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision • Follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams • Make improvements to training guides and documentation • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment • Train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in the field troubleshooting, installation and mechanical experience
- Willingness to be on the road 100% of time and travel to customer sites throughout the US
- Previous industry experience
- Previous technical/installation experience with conveyor systems
- Previous customer service experience
- Good written and oral communication
- Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes
- Bachelor degree or technical/professional certificate

• Performs work remotely at customer sites; installing and servicing equipment while also providing customer training and support, as necessary. • Troubleshoots and repairs injection molding machines and robots, including conducting tests and inspections on all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic or software components including calibrations to optimize performance. • Performs software and hardware installations. • Performs all safety checks on equipment. • Educates customers on equipment and instructs on proper operation. • Manages resolution of customer issues, including order and installation of replacements parts as necessary. • Orders replacement parts with diagnoses of problems with control systems and develops an organized approach to solving machine problems and repairs/replaces parts as required. • Instructs other Service Technicians and/or customer operators on the maintenance and safe operations of injection molding systems. • Communicates on an ongoing basis with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center to obtain answers to problems encountered in the field. • Provides written reports on a regular basis to the Service Manager.

• Perform basic field repairs, including hardware and glass replacements, operational adjustments, and product inspections • Conduct on-site evaluations to assess product performance and identify repair needs • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of glass, working at heights, and use of PPE • Operate company vehicles safely, adhering to local laws, and perform routine maintenance to ensure reliability • Manage tools and supplies inventory to maintain proper stock and organization • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair issues and solutions, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction • Travel within assigned territory daily; overnight travel may be required depending on territory
