• Proactively Identify new opportunities within existing customer base • Successfully prospect new opportunities • Maintain existing revenue and reduce churn • Navigate aggressive targets to grow company value while acting as a strong customer advocate • Exhibit diplomacy in building revenue streams that are mutually profitable for the company and solve the customer needs • Collaborate with internal teams including commercials, operations, customer experience and marketing to generate and close opportunities • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape, market pricing and strategy • Account Planning, revenue forecasting and opportunity management • Participate in trade shows and local area networking events • Manage CRM discipline for a high volume of activity
Job Requirements
- Ideally based in the greater Minneapolis market with the ability to visit local Cologix facilities throughout the assigned region on an as-needed basis for customer meetings, etc.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Strong understanding of the data center, real estate, cloud and telecommunications industries
- Minimum 5 years proven success in solution-based selling, preferably in the technology sector
- Disciplined in the use of CRM tool for forecasting and sales activity tracking
- Technical understanding of the below preferred:
- Data Center Infrastructure
- Power Infrastructure
- Telco Connectivity
- Cloud / HyperScaler connectivity
- Must be articulate with a demonstrated consultative capability
- Organized
- Competitive personality
- Thorough understanding of the sales process
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Critical listener with effective questioning
- Self-starter that does not need constant supervision to be effective
- Able to manage high activity level
