Brand and Multimedia Designer
7shifts: Team Management for RestaurantsEasy scheduling & communication for restaurants. Save 5 hours/week & trim labor costs by 3%. Trusted by 800,000+ pros.
Title: Brand & Multimedia Designer (8-month contract) Location: Saskatoon, Toronto, Canada Job Description: 7shifts is a scheduling and payroll platform designed to help restaurant teams thrive. With an easy-to-use app and industry-specific solutions, 7shifts saves time, reduces errors, and helps keep costs in check for over 55,000 restaurants. Our mission is to simplify team management and improve performance for restaurants, with a long-term vision of creating a thriving restaurant industry through the power of connected & engaged teams. As the Brand & Multimedia Designer at 7shifts, you will bring our brand to life across the campaigns, content, and channels that connect us with the restaurant world. Reporting to the Manager, Brand & Content, you'll be a creative engine behind our marketing efforts, shaping the look and feel of everything from major campaign launches to internal culture moments, while also helping to empower the broader team to create on-brand assets independently. Note: This is an 8-month contract opportunity with full benefits, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing team. What you’ll do: - Design and deliver creative assets for major and minor marketing campaigns, from concept through execution, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a consistent and compelling brand. - Produce collateral that supports cross-functional teams (growth marketing, sales, partnerships, customer success) with the materials they need to show up professionally and on-brand. - Contribute to web and UI design tasks, collaborating with product and web teams to ensure brand cohesion across our digital presence. - Create assets for People and Culture initiatives, including internal events, employer brand materials, and onboarding experiences that reflect 7shifts' culture visually. - Champion AI-forward design practices by building and maintaining brand guidelines and templates that empower non-designers across the company to generate their own on-brand creative assets. - Concept, produce, and edit multimedia content — including video, motion graphics, and animation — for campaigns, social media, product storytelling, and internal communications. What you bring: - A strong portfolio demonstrating versatile brand and marketing design across digital and print, from campaigns to collateral. Your portfolio should include motion and video work. - You've worked within a brand system and know how to apply guidelines consistently while finding room for creativity. - Proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent tools); you move quickly and are comfortable working across multiple formats. Familiarity with motion and video tools — such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent — is also a must. - A working understanding of animation principles and how motion can reinforce brand identity across digital touchpoints. - Experience collaborating cross-functionally, having partnered with marketers, writers, or business teams to translate ideas into finished creative work. - A proactive, self-directed approach where you can manage multiple requests simultaneously and prioritize without constant direction. - You use AI tools daily in your own work to produce faster, scale creative output, and streamline your workflow, and you know how to build those habits into a team's workflow. It’d be even cooler if you had: - Experience working in a B2B SaaS or tech company, especially one serving SMB customers, with familiarity with web fundamentals (HTML/CSS) or hands-on experience working alongside developers on web projects. - Hands-on experience producing short-form video content for social or digital channels (scripting, shooting, or post-production), with experience in more advanced motion design (Lottie animations, etc.) being a plus. - A background in or deep appreciation for the restaurant or hospitality industry. This role is an existing vacancy and is part of our current hiring plan Compensation The base compensation range for this position is CAD $83,000 - CAD $124,000. When we build together, we grow together. - Health and Wellness: We support Shifties in and outside of work, knowing that what people need can change over time. We prioritize candidates who thrive in a hybrid work environment with offices in Saskatoon and Toronto, ensuring in-person collaboration and connection when possible. Plus, we offer a flexible vacation policy to encourage everyone to recharge when needed. Oh, and our ‘90 Day Shift’ program lets Shift work from (almost) anywhere because who wouldn’t want to trade their desk for a beach view once in a while? - Support: We set Shifties up for success with the tools they need, like the latest Apple tech, a home office setup, and some 7shifts swag to make it official. But support goes beyond day one. We’re serious about professional growth, offering coaching, feedback, development planning, and opportunities to grow from within. We know you might not check every box, and that’s okay. If you’re excited about this role, inspired to contribute to a meaningful product, and eager to share ideas that drive real change, we’d love to hear from you. We’re building an inclusive team that reflects the diverse industry we serve, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
