Marketing Analyst, PLG & Self-Serve Analytics
Twilio
Role Description This position is needed to be part of a highly visible Marketing Analytics team serving as the dedicated analytics partner for Twilio's self-serve and PLG motion, reporting into the MSA&I function (Marketing Strategy, Analytics and Innovation). You will serve as the connective tissue between GTM engineers and business teams, ensuring business goals are translated into scalable technical programs. You will own the end-to-end process of designing and iterating on high-impact sales programs and growth experiments, working with great minds across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Finance. Responsibilities - Lead PLG Analytics: Own PLG analytics for Twilio's self-service business, including free-to-paid conversion, usage-based cohorting, signal-based audience development, and growth experimentation across the self-serve funnel. Build the bridge between Self Service and GTM motion to allow faster conversions. - Bridge the Technical Gap: Translate business needs into technical solutions using Python and SQL. Collaborate with Marketing Data Engineering to take tests from pilot to production. Ensure every technical pilot/prod development has marketing impact and is measurable and scalable. - Build Strategic Partnerships: Build relationships with sales and marketing leaders to translate hypotheses into actionable experiments and identify high-leverage use cases. - Drive Iteration: Build tight feedback loops with sales teams to validate play effectiveness and evolve dashboards, cohort models, and experimentation frameworks. - Synthesize Data: Distill complex insights into clear, concise communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, focusing on 1-2 succinct takeaways for executives. - Develop Toolkits: Build and maintain analytical toolkits - scoring models, segmentation frameworks, dashboards - that help Sales and Marketing teams act on insights at scale. Qualifications - Proven Technical Ability: Fluency in SQL and Python is essential. - PLG/Self-Serve Experience: Prior experience with product-led growth metrics (activation rates, free-to-paid conversion, usage-based expansion) or experience in a usage-based SaaS environment. - AI/LLM Fluency: Ability to work with different Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop innovative business solutions. - Analytical Mindset: Experience leveraging data to uncover insights and influence business strategy. - Strategic Thinker: A passion for "picking up the trash", identifying problems and fixing them proactively instead of waiting for instructions. - Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field, or equivalent practical experience. Requirements - This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA. - Approximately 15% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way. Benefits - Competitive pay - Generous time off - Ample parental and wellness leave - Healthcare - Retirement savings program - Additional offerings vary by location

Role Description We are looking for an experienced QA Analyst with strong experience in marketing technology and data validation to join our MarTech team. In this role, you will own end-to-end quality for our customer engagement and attribution infrastructure, spanning mobile deep linking, multi-touch attribution pipelines, and the event data that flows between our CDP, engagement platforms, and advertising ecosystem. You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies, validate complex cross-platform data flows, and act as the quality authority for our MarTech stack. This role is highly analytical and investigative - ideal for someone who thinks in systems and data, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to directly impact how we measure and grow the product. What you’ll do - Own attribution and deep link testing: - Design and execute end-to-end test scenarios that validate attribution accuracy across paid and organic channels — from ad click through install, open, and conversion event — using tools like AppsFlyer. - Validate deep linking flows across iOS and Android, including deferred, contextual, and universal link scenarios. - Validate event data integrity: - Trace events from source to destination across our data pipeline — from SDK instrumentation through CDP transformations into downstream platforms like Braze and our data warehouse. - Identify schema drift, dropped events, duplication, and incorrect mappings before they reach production. - Validate ad platform integrations (paid social & beyond): - Test and verify event flows and attribution across major ad platforms, with a strong emphasis on paid social (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Snap). - Validate pixel and SDK events, click tracking, postbacks, and conversion mapping. - Ensure campaign performance data aligns across platforms and internal reporting. - Execute structured test plans (no-code): - Develop and maintain detailed manual and semi-automated test plans for MarTech integrations, including event validation, audience sync accuracy, campaign trigger logic, and API behavior. - Partner with engineering where automation is appropriate, but remain the owner of test coverage and validation strategy. - Define QA standards for the MarTech stack: - Establish testing protocols, documentation standards, and acceptance criteria for new integrations and campaigns. - Ensure testability and observability are considered early in the lifecycle. - Drive data quality observability: - Proactively monitor data quality across systems — identifying misconfigured events, broken integrations, and attribution anomalies before they surface in dashboards or impact campaigns. - Collaborate cross-functionally: - Work closely with Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Analytics to validate that campaign logic, segmentation, and measurement infrastructure behave as intended. - Translate business requirements into clear test cases and communicate findings effectively. - Support incident investigation and resolution: - Investigate MarTech-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes. - Ensure regressions are well understood and prevented through improved test coverage and monitoring. Qualifications - 4–7 years of QA experience with exposure to marketing technology, analytics, or data pipeline validation. - Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate test case generation, anomaly detection, or QA workflows. - Experience owning or contributing to QA efforts for attribution, engagement platforms, or event-driven systems in production. - Experience designing and executing test plans for complex, cross-platform systems (without relying heavily on code-based automation). Requirements - Experience with mobile attribution platforms — AppsFlyer, Adjust, or similar — including deep link validation and install attribution flows. - Familiarity with paid media platforms, especially paid social (Meta, TikTok, Snap), including pixel/SDK validation, event mapping, and conversion tracking. - Experience with customer engagement platforms — Braze, Iterable, or similar — including campaign logic and segmentation validation. - Working knowledge of CDPs and event streaming tools — RudderStack, Segment, mParticle, or similar — and the ability to trace event payloads across systems. - Strong data literacy: ability to interpret event schemas, validate payload structure, and reason through multi-step data flows. - Working knowledge of AdTech concepts including click tracking, postbacks, and conversion attribution. - Comfort using SQL or similar tools to validate data, analyze discrepancies, and quantify impact. Benefits - Company-subsidized medical, dental, & vision plans. - 401(k) plan with company match. - Annual bonus. - Flexible PTO to encourage a healthy work/life balance (2 weeks STRONGLY encouraged!). - Generous paid leave programs, including 16-week paid parental leave and disability benefits. - Workplace flexibility and modern work schedules focused on getting the job done, not hours clocked. - Company-wide in-person events and team outings. - Lifestyle enhancement program. - Company equipment provided (Windows & Mac options). - Annual performance reviews with opportunities for growth and career development.
