Job Description Working closely with the Director - Billing & Collections based in Mexico, the Manager - Billing & Collections is responsible for overseeing all Advertising Sales end-to-end billing, reconciliation, and collections processes for Ad Sales revenue streams across LATAM, including Panregional, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Andean Region, and Southern Cone territories while serving as a subject matter expert supporting the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of Ad Sales in housing and systems transformation initiatives. This role will also be responsible for managing and coordinating local Ad Sales representatives who handle billing and collections activities in their respective markets, as well as reporting as an Ad Sales representative to our partners, ensuring alignment with regional and international standards, financial controls, regional tax regulations and company policies. Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of Billing & Collections Analysts in the end-to-end billing and collections processes for Ad Sales portfolios across LATAM, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual terms and regional requirements. - Oversee the preparation and issuance of accurate invoices for Ad Sales clients, in accordance with contractual terms, regional tax regulations and in region e-billing requirements. - Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement proactive collection strategies to support cash flow and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). - Lead the reconciliation and ongoing follow-up of Ad Sales Representations across all territories, ensuring alignment between Sales, Traffic, Operations, Finance, and local representatives. - Manage and oversee local Ad Sales representatives, ensuring proper execution of billing and collections processes at the local level, adherence to company standards, and timely reporting. - Review and validate agency incentive calculations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with contractual agreements. - Analyze and report on key regional performance indicators, including DSO, aging metrics, and market trends, delivering actionable insights to senior stakeholders. - Serve as the escalation point for client billing inquiries, managing complex customer issues and negotiating payment plans where necessary. - Maintain visibility of financial risks and opportunities across territories, proactively communicating findings and mitigation plans. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Traffic, Operations, Legal, and Revenue Accounting to resolve billing discrepancies, ensure accurate accounting and timely reconciliations, and lead management of receivables risk and opportunities through proactive communication with FP&A stakeholders. - Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, clients, and local Ad Sales representatives. - Ensure clear prioritization, workload management, and consistent follow-up across both internal teams and local representatives. - Ensure compliance with internal policies, international accounting standards, and local regulatory requirements, including maintaining audit-ready documentation. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize reporting across LATAM. - Lead and support system enhancements and automation initiatives (e.g., SAP ECC / S/4HANA, Mydas, reporting tools), acting as a bridge between Finance Operations, Transformation teams, and IT. - Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of e billing solutions across LATAM Ad Sales portfolios, partnering with IT, Finance Transformation, Tax, and local teams to ensure regulatory compliance and scalable solutions. - Oversee the implementation of tailored collections strategies across the assigned portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Ensure proper cash and withholding tax application and reconciliation in partnership with offshore and accounting teams. - Lead training, goal setting, coaching, and performance monitoring for Billing & Collections Analysts, fostering a high-performing and engaged team. - Act as an Ad Sales Billing & Collections SME for transformation initiatives, including the design and implementation of Ad Sales in housing activities onto SAP (S/4HANA), ensuring alignment between business requirements, system design, and operational execution.
