Role Description The Salesforce Applications Director supports our Bath side of the business by delivering strategic and technical leadership for the entire Salesforce ecosystem that serves the Bath division of Jacuzzi Group. This role owns platform vision, enterprise architecture, cross-functional stakeholder alignment, and digital transformation initiatives. The Director partners directly with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Service, Field Operations, and Finance to ensure Salesforce drives revenue growth and scales with the business. The Bath org spans approximately 800 internal users and 100 partner experience users across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, and Experience Cloud. Key Responsibilities - Platform Strategy & Vision - Enterprise Architecture & Governance - Team Leadership & Organizational Development - Project Portfolio Management & Implementations - Salesforce Ecosystem Ownership - Executive Stakeholder Partnership - Production Support & Continuous Improvement - Salesforce Releases / Maintenance Responsibilities - Responsible for Platform Strategy & Vision: - Define and own the multi-year Salesforce roadmap for Bath, aligned to business growth objectives and corporate IT strategy. - Partner with the CIO to present platform strategy, ROI, and investment cases to executive leadership. - Evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities (AI, Data Cloud, Agentforce) and drive adoption strategy. - Benchmark Bath’s Salesforce maturity against industry standards and build a roadmap to best-in-class. - Responsible for Enterprise Architecture & Governance: - Own enterprise architecture for the Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with IT standards. - Establish and enforce platform governance frameworks: data model standards, naming conventions, configuration vs. code policies, and org health criteria. - Lead architectural review of all significant enhancements and integrations; own org security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules). - Drive data governance strategy: data quality standards, deduplication, and regulatory compliance. - Responsible for Team Leadership & Organizational Development: - Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Salesforce administrators and developers. - Define career ladders, development plans, and build a culture of continuous learning and Salesforce certification. - Manage vendor relationships, SOW negotiations, implementation partners, contractor performance, and team budget. - Responsible for Project Portfolio Management & Implementations: - Govern the full project portfolio: intake, prioritization, scoping, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management across concurrent initiatives. - Lead Agile/Scrum delivery; oversee sprint planning and backlog grooming in JIRA aligned to the defined project lifecycle (Scoping, Design, Build, Testing, Training, Deploy, Maintenance). - Drive executive-level project reporting; set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and escalate critical risks to senior leadership. - Salesforce architecture and process automation expert, capable of providing informed design feedback and recommendations. - Responsible for Salesforce Ecosystem Ownership: - Own all Salesforce clouds: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, and Experience Cloud. - Oversee all integrations (e.g., ERP, website, call center, Leap, DocuSign) at an architectural and operational level. - Own Salesforce licensing strategy, contract negotiations, and AppExchange product lifecycle management. - Responsible for Executive Stakeholder Partnership: - Serve as senior technology advisor to Bath business leaders for all Salesforce strategy and investment decisions. - Lead cross-functional steering committees; drive platform adoption through change management, enablement programs, and executive dashboards. - Identify and champion opportunities where Salesforce can drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, or customer experience improvement. - Responsible for Production Support & Issue Management: - Establish and own SLA frameworks for production support, incident response, and escalation paths; oversee daily stand-ups and issue resolution. - Proactively monitor org health and lead root cause analysis on high-impact incidents. - Responsible for Salesforce Releases / Maintenance: - Maintain applicable Salesforce release enhancements (3x per year); manage Critical Updates and educate the team on impact. - Maintain 3rd-party AppExchange product updates; maintain configuration and code documentation within JIRA configuration workbook. Qualifications - Expert-level knowledge across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, and Experience Cloud. - Deep Salesforce architecture skills: data modeling, security design, integration patterns, and org strategy. - Strong technical foundation in Flow automation, Apex, LWC, and API-based integrations (including AppExchange). - Demonstrated ability to define and execute multi-year platform strategies tied to business outcomes. - Executive-level communication and leadership skills; ability to translate platform strategy into business value for C-suite audiences. - Advanced portfolio and project management skills; proven track record delivering high-quality, on-time, on-budget projects across a complex enterprise org. - Financial acumen: experience managing platform budgets, vendor contracts, licensing strategy, and ROI modeling. - Experience with integration platforms and ERP systems (Infor LN) preferred. - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field. - Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification Required. - 10+ years of Salesforce experience; 3+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role. - Experience managing Salesforce project implementations across multiple clouds in enterprise environments (500+ users preferred). - Experience leading and scaling cross-functional teams, admins, developers, and vendor partners; track record presenting technology strategy to executive leadership. - Additional preferred certifications: Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Field Service Consultant, Platform App Builder.
