• Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a reference for analysts and engineers, promoting development best practices, performing code reviews, and mentoring the team to advance analytical maturity. • Strategic Data Modeling: Design and maintain robust data layers (Silver/Gold) in BigQuery, translating the industry's complex business rules into efficient dimensional models. • Data Engineering Culture: Implement automated testing frameworks, data quality monitoring, and documentation via dbt, ensuring that security and reliability metrics are 100% trustworthy. • Business Interface: Work proactively with Product Managers and functional areas to elicit requirements, investigate root causes of operational pain points, and propose architectural solutions that anticipate needs. • Optimization, Scalability and FinOps: Identify bottlenecks in queries and pipelines, proposing refactors to improve performance and cost efficiency across the Group's large data volumes.
Job Requirements
- Solid experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer, with a focus on data modeling for analytical consumption.
- Proficiency in SQL and the Modern Data Stack: Advanced experience writing complex, high-performance queries (Window Functions, CTEs) in Google BigQuery, with a focus on data transformation and cost/processing optimization.
- Data Modeling and Architecture: Strong experience in dimensional modeling and Data Lakehouse architectures, translating complex business rules into tables optimized for analytical consumption.
- Proficiency in Python: Use of the language for automation scripts, building pipelines, and data analysis, raising the level of automation in the Supply Chain domain.
- Experience in Cloud Environments (GCP): Hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, ensuring scalability and reliability of data assets.
- Pipeline Orchestration: Experience with Airflow (or similar tools) for managing data flows and dependencies.
- Software Engineering Culture: Practical experience with version control (Git), code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines applied to data.
- Autonomy and Consultative Attitude: Ability to navigate uncertainty and act as a business partner, translating vague stakeholder needs into precise technical scopes and end-to-end solutions.
- Agile Culture: Experience with agile planning and execution frameworks to ensure predictability and continuous delivery of value.
