Platform Engineer
Shift Markets
• Build & Scale Backend and Platform Systems • Design and build backend services and platform components using TypeScript, Python, or similar • Work on systems that support data processing, automation, and product scalability • Contribute to event-driven architectures and distributed systems • Build and improve ETL pipelines and data workflows • Help optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of data systems • Build and maintain infrastructure using Amazon CDK, Terraform, or CDKTF Typescript • Create reusable infrastructure patterns and improve existing codebases • Collaborate with developers and architects to improve system design • Help scale systems as product usage grows
Job Requirements
- 4 to 7+ years of experience in software engineering, backend engineering, or platform engineering
- Strong programming skills (TypeScript or Python preferred)
- Experience building backend systems, APIs, or data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Terraform CDKTF or Amazon CDK is a strong plus
- Experience working with AWS
- Basic understanding of event-driven systems or distributed architectures
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
