Job Description
Corporate Strategy Manager
Bodily
Bodily is a venture-backed women's health company transforming underserved categories through product innovation and data-driven growth strategy. We design research-backed products for major life transitions—postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, pregnancy loss—addressing clinical needs with the rigor and sophistication typically reserved for consumer tech or luxury retail. Our investors include Hearst Corporation, Morgan Stanley, and Global Founders Capital, alongside strategic backers Brooklyn Decker, Andy Roddick, and Katherine Schwarzenegger-Pratt. We've built a scaled DTC business with expanding wholesale partnerships (including national distribution at Target) and are executing a growth roadmap across channels. What makes Bodily unique as a career opportunity is the combination of early-stage strategic breadth with seasoned operational leadership. You'll work directly with executives who have built and scaled category-defining businesses: - CEO from buyout private equity Goldman Sachs and Global Infrastructure Partners, plus operating roles as CFO of Daily Harvest and head of strategy & finance for Blue Apron and Ralph Lauren Ecommerce globally - COO with 25+ years leading supply chain and operations for Gap, Thinx, and other high-growth brands - Head of Marketing who drove Gravity Blanket and HigherDose to breakout success - Advisors and board members from top-tier firms and operating backgrounds This is a rare opportunity to gain the analytical and strategic range of a growth-stage company while learning from executives with decades of experience at the highest levels of finance, operations, and brand building. THE OPPORTUNITY We're hiring a Corporate Strategy Lead to serve as a key member of our Finance & Strategy team, and strategic partner to our Founder & CEO and executive team. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations—providing analytical rigor and cross-functional coordination to support high-stakes decisions across the business. You'll be deeply involved in planning, analysis, and strategic initiatives that drive growth and operational efficiency. This includes building and evolving the sophisticated demand forecasting and operational models that inform decisions on product, supply chain, channel strategy, and marketing investment. You'll leverage the same modeling discipline and analytical frameworks you developed in investment banking or private equity—dynamic driver-based models, sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and rigorous quantitative diligence. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with direct access to executive decision-making. You'll work on a small, focused team, collaborating closely with the CEO and functional leaders across the organization. The analytical intensity and strategic influence mirror what you'd expect in a deal environment, but with the added dimension of seeing your work drive real-time business outcomes. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Strategic Planning & Financial Modeling – Build and maintain sophisticated, multi-tab operating models with dynamic drivers, scenario analysis, and sensitivity frameworks. Develop models that connect topline strategy to operational realities and financial implications across the business. - Demand Forecasting & Predictive Modeling – Own demand forecasting across Amazon, DTC, and wholesale channels. Build and maintain sophisticated forecasting models using advanced Excel and analytical methodologies. Develop predictive frameworks that inform production planning, inventory positioning, SKU rationalization, and working capital optimization. Conduct scenario planning and risk assessments to balance margin, cash flow, service levels, and operational constraints (MOQs, lead times, shipping trade-offs). - Business Intelligence & Performance Analysis – Conduct rigorous quantitative analysis across channels, products, and customer cohorts. Build data tables and analytical frameworks that surface trends, risks, and opportunities with the precision and depth expected in institutional investing. - Cross-Functional Partnership – Work closely with leaders in marketing, supply chain, product, and finance to align on priorities and ensure analytical rigor in decision-making. Translate business questions into quantitative frameworks. - Executive Communication – Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and executive reviews. Deliver clear, compelling recommendations backed by sophisticated financial analysis. - Strategic Projects – Lead or support high-priority initiatives such as new channel expansion, product portfolio strategy, operational efficiency programs, and M&A or partnership evaluation. - Ad Hoc Analysis & Problem Solving – Dive into urgent questions with speed and analytical firepower, providing recommendations backed by rigorous modeling and sound business judgment.
Job Requirements
- WHO YOU ARE
- Background:
- 3–5 years in M&A or coverage investment banking at a bulge bracket or elite boutique firm (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Evercore, Lazard, Centerview, etc.) OR private equity at a top-tier firm
- This role requires the analytical foundation and modeling discipline built through M&A advisory or principal investing
- Skills:
- Mastery of sophisticated financial modeling – you've built complex LBO models, dynamic driver-based operating models, multi-tab integrated financial statements, and extensive sensitivity analyses. You're comfortable with complex Excel architecture, data tables, and scenario modeling.
- Exceptional analytical rigor – you approach problems with the discipline and precision of institutional investing, and you know how to pressure-test assumptions and surface meaningful insights from data
- Strategic thinker with operational pragmatism – comfortable translating topline strategy into detailed operational plans and financial implications
- Clear, compelling communicator – able to distill complexity into concise, executive-ready recommendations
- Highly organized and execution-oriented – you thrive managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Mission-driven – passionate about improving women's health and creating products that make a tangible difference in people's lives
- IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- This role is for someone who values equity upside and career acceleration over maximizing cash compensation in the near term. You'll trade banking/PE cash comp for meaningful equity, mentorship from executives who've made the same transition, and experience in dog years that positions you for wherever you want to go next. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your long-term trajectory, this is a rare opportunity to build operating experience that would take a decade elsewhere.
- What you get instead:
- Equity in a venture-backed company with significant upside potential
- Mentorship from executives who've walked your exact path – from top-tier finance roles into high-impact operating positions – and can uniquely guide your transition while appreciating the power your skill set brings
- Breadth of experience that would take a decade elsewhere – exposure to finance, operations, product, marketing, supply chain, and corporate development, all at once
- Day-to-day fulfillment and work-life balance – you'll work hard, but without the brutal hours or the detachment from impact that defined banking or PE
- A launchpad for wherever you want to go next – whether that's CFO, head of strategy, VP of operations, or founder, you'll leave with the operating experience and executive exposure that opens every door
- If you're motivated by maximizing cash compensation right now, this isn't the right fit. But if you're ready to invest in yourself, build something meaningful, and position yourself for long-term career success, we'd love to talk.
Benefits
- WHAT YOU'LL GET
- Health, dental, and vision benefits
- Sustainable work-life balance
- High degree of ownership, independence, and decision-making authority
- Direct access to executives and real-time impact on business outcomes
- Equity upside
