• Apply clinical expertise to assess and analyze claim file information, delivering objective, evidence-based recommendations. • Communicate complex medical issues clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment. • Collaborate with internal partners to identify and obtain pertinent medical documentation necessary for accurate functional assessments. • Partner with healthcare providers and claimants to clarify diagnoses, treatment plans, anticipated outcomes, and return-to-work expectations. • Provide coaching and consultation to non-clinical staff to enhance medical understanding and support appropriate claim management. • Operate with a sense of urgency and adaptability to meet evolving business needs. • Demonstrate strong time management by effectively prioritizing tasks, completing reviews promptly, and ensuring timely follow-up on all case activities. • Maintain required professional certifications, stay current with medical trends, and complete ongoing educational requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing and active RN license required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Previous Disability medical case management experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and comfort navigating multiple platforms.

Responsibilities: - Performing professional tier onsite building envelope consulting and diagnostic assessments, moisture intrusion surveys, failure investigations, coating condition assessments, and paint and building repair QA inspections; - Coordinating with peers and external consulting engineering firms and commercial building owners to gain insight and determine root cause of problems identified; - Exploring client needs, verifying understanding of their needs, and preparing responsive proposals that provide solutions to building envelope and moisture intrusion problems; - Preparing written technical reports based on the field assessments including scopes of work, specifications, and recommendations for remediation of building/coatings issues, with minimal guidance; - Effectively coordinating building inspection staff and reviewing their reports and client deliverables for accuracy; - Managing project assignments on time, on scope, and within budget in conformance with KTA’s scope of services and corporate quality standards; and - In the future, supporting and progressively leading business development initiatives, including client relationship management, identification of new service opportunities, proposal strategy, and contributing to the long-term growth and leadership succession of the department. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or specialized experience) in Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline - Technical experience in the application of building science principles and a strong understanding of commercial building maintenance and remodel strategies and determining cause(s) of moisture intrusion. - Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word), reading and taking measurements, blueprint reading, and mathematically inclined - AutoCad and Bluebeam Proficiency – preferred - Professional engineering or architectural license – ideal - Ability to travel throughout the U.S. (30-50% expected), valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation - Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) coatings credentials, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credentials – desired - Physical requirements: Ability to hear, speak, smell; vision (close, distance, color, depth, ability to adjust focus); ability to climb and work from heights, safely lift 50 pounds, work outside, and walk on uneven ground or terrain.
