Account Manager Associate – Commercial Insurance

• Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, Producer, and/or assigned group of accounts • Work with minimal direction from an Account Manager (AM), Account Executive (AE), or Producer • Independently resolve moderately complex customer service problems and manage smaller-sized accounts or those with less complexity • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise • Assist in directing day-to-day activities and workflow of Team Support/Receptionist, Account Assistant, and/or Account Associate • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis • Manage policy expirations and renewals • Conduct client research, gather underwriting information, perform loss run analysis, prepare submissions, evaluate and negotiate coverages and pricing, prepare and present proposals, bind coverage, and follow up for policy issuance • Process tasks accurately and within required timeframes • Assist in reviewing contracts to ensure proper coverages are included • Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness • Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion • Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues • Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests • Stay updated on company policies and procedures • Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance • Demonstrate integrity and leadership
Job Requirements
- 7 + years of customer service experience in the insurance industry
- Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
- Required active licensing; professional designation preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Role Description UNICEF’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACRO) is looking to recruit a senior consultant to develop a strategic roadmap for expanding its engagement with the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). This consultancy will support UNICEF in: - Identifying entry points and leveraging opportunities for collaboration with the World Bank and the IDB across the region, with clarity on UNICEF’s role at both regional and country levels. - Consolidating these entry points in a clear roadmap of opportunities in countries to leverage investments and policies that benefit children and adolescents. - Helping build opportunities to advance dialogue and exchange at both regional and country levels with both World Bank and IDB. The primary objective of this consultancy is to support UNICEF’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in developing a strategic roadmap for engagement with the World Bank and the IDB. The consultant will: - Identify and analyze opportunities for collaboration. - Propose effective modalities for partnership. - Design approaches to influence World Bank and IDB investments and decision-making processes in ways that advance UNICEF’s mandate for children and adolescents across the region. The consultant will undertake a comprehensive analysis of the landscape of World Bank and IDB operations in LAC, focusing on: - Identifying areas of convergence with UNICEF’s strategic priorities. - Mapping potential entry points for engagement across LAC countries and sectors. - Consultations with World Bank and IDB teams, as well as government counterparts. - Reviewing World Bank and IDB country strategies, investment portfolios, and regional thematic initiatives. The consultant will also propose UNICEF-specific strategies for influencing World Bank and IDB investments and decision-making processes, including: - Identifying the most effective channels for engagement—at the country level, regional level, and headquarters. - Recommending approaches for advocacy and relationship-building with key stakeholders. - Providing a specific and detailed contacts list for engagement. As part of the consultancy, the consultant will conduct a review of the World Bank and IDB’s experience with innovative finance in LAC, assessing the relevance and potential of these instruments for UNICEF’s programming and resource mobilization efforts. Deliverables of the Consultancy include: - A two-page work plan and methodological proposal submitted as part of the application. - A revised and detailed work plan developed after initial consultations with UNICEF. - A comprehensive outline for an engagement strategy for UNICEF’s collaboration with the World Bank and the IDB in Latin America and the Caribbean. - A first draft of the strategy document presenting initial findings and recommendations. - A final version of the strategy integrating UNICEF feedback. - A specific roadmap for opportunities at regional and global levels. - Three country-specific engagement roadmaps for the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. - A professionally designed PowerPoint presentation summarizing the strategy and country roadmaps. Qualifications - Education: Economics, Finance, International Relations, or a related field with a relevant Master’s degree. - Minimum 10 years of experience working with International Financial Institutions. - At least 5 years of experience working with, or in collaboration with, the World Bank and the IDB in the LAC region. - Previous experience working with, or in collaboration with, United Nations agencies is required. - Experience working with, or in collaboration with, UNICEF is an asset. - Fluency in English is required; intermediate Spanish is desirable; French and Portuguese are assets. - Expertise in development financing, including strong skills in innovative finance. - Strong writing skills in English required. - Strong capacity to deliver well-designed, formatted, and visually engaging written products and presentations. Requirements - The consultancy is expected to take place between 20 May - 31 December with an estimated requirement of 40-50 consultancy days. - The consultant should include in the proposal one mission to the LAC region with the potential to visit 2-3 countries to be agreed with UNICEF.
