About the Role The Senior Program Manager – Operations & AI will drive the planning and execution of strategic projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of our Utilization Management operations. This role will blend core project management skills with technical expertise, particularly in AI-driven initiatives, to optimize operational workflows. In addition to project management experience and expertise, the ideal candidate will bring a healthcare operations background, a passion for technology, and a talent for governance and change management. Primary Responsibilities - Project Planning and Execution - Lead end-to-end project management for operational initiatives, include tech enabled AI work - Define project scope/schedule/budgets and work breakdown structure, ensuring alignment with execution of strategic goals - Define sponsorship and governance for project oversight - Monitor project progress and track risks and issues. Report on key project health and status metrics to key stakeholders - AI & Tech Enablement Planning - For projects involving AI and tech enablement, work with operations and technical leadership to assess workflow impact and technical assumptions and design as pre-work for project kick-off - Define success metrics at the initiation of new AI projects and pilots and track success for evaluation of efficacy and value. - Plan and pilot new AI inititives and plan scaled deployment when success has been demonstrated. - Define and own the product roadmap for AI enablement across Oncology UM workflows. - Identify opportunities to integrate AI into UM processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. - Governance Planning & Oversight - Establish governance frameworks for project oversight - Create and maintain project status and oversight artifacts - Change Management & Stakeholder Communication - Develop change management plans to support smooth transitions as new processes and technologies are deployed - Educate stakeholders about project goals, scope and value. Solicit input and guidance from impacted parties to improve design and ensure alignment - Facilitate information gathering sessions at project launch and training sessions at project close to ensure project success - Risk Management and Issue Resolution - Track, escalate and manage risks and issues impacting project health and identify mitigation strategies - Proactively address issues, ensuring minimal impact to project delivery About You - Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration preferred. - Certification: PMP certification required. PROSCI certification preferred. - Typical years of experience are 5-7 years. - Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. - Expertise in healthcare operations. - Familiarity with BI tools, AI platforms and data governance frameworks. - Systems/Tools: Project management software.
