Senior Program Delivery Lead

Role Description This position oversees a portfolio, program or grouping of high impact and visible projects. This position drives the adoption, standardization and maturation of the appropriate management framework (e.g. agile) across the projects and portfolio to drive results, while facilitating strong partnerships with key leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise. This is an enterprise role that is outcome focused, co-owning the portfolio/program strategy, delivery plan and results, ensuring work is executed as quickly as possible, while also managing quality, risk, budget, stakeholders, and resources. Job Responsibilities - Strategic Alignment: - Define Program Objectives: In partnership with enterprise planning and governance, ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies. - Program Definition: In partnership with business partners, create initial program artifacts such as charter and business case. - Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and manage key stakeholders, ensuring there is clear alignment around program outcomes and well understood engagement paths. - Planning and Governance: - Program Roadmap: Develop a high-level roadmap with success measures, estimated cost/benefit and resource needs to guide program execution. - Governance Structure: Establish governance processes, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making protocols; ensuring structures are simple and consistent across programs in the enterprise. - Metrics: Ensure clear success measures are documented, transparent and shared with key stakeholders. - Standards and Compliance: Ensure program meets organizational program standards and any regulatory and/or privacy standards are upheld. - Change Control: Evaluate and manage changes to program scope, budget, risk profile and timeline. - Risk and Issue Management: - Risk Identification and Mitigation: Anticipate and address risks that may impact project success. - Issue Resolution: Track and manage issues impacting the program, escalating as needed to drive resolution. - Program Execution: - Monitor Program: Oversee all aspects of progress toward outcomes, including dependencies, risks, issues, changes and budget, leveraging/deploying consistent enterprise standards and structures. - Value Acceleration: Steer program delivery and planning to focus on Minimum Viable Functionality (MVF), accelerating early value delivery, leveraging the appropriate agile, project management, business process management, team building and change management tools. - Cross-team communication and partnership: Facilitate collaboration and alignment among project and project teams, standing execution and planning teams, senior leaders and external stakeholders. - Program status: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and program stakeholders on program progress to metrics, risks, issues. - Resourcing: Establish, monitor and predict program resource needs throughout the program lifecycle. - Program Closure: Manage the formal closure of the program, ensuring objectives are met and lessons learned are documented and retained. - Transition: Oversee the handover of deliverables to internal teams for ongoing operationalization and management. - Outcome Measurement and Financial Oversight: - Benefit Realization: Develop a deep understanding of baseline assumptions and expected program outcomes. Partner with enterprise planning and governance to ensure program delivers measurable value and track the realization of expected benefits to baseline assumptions. - Budget Management: In partnership with Finance, develop and monitor the program budget, ensuring financial accountability. - Cost-Benefit Analysis: In partnership with Finance, assess and monitor financial viability and ensure value delivery throughout the life of the program. - Be an independent eye serving the needs of the enterprise first; challenge business assumptions as needed, leverage data to measure and expose performance and potential risk. - Leadership: - Leadership and Mentoring: Lead cross-functional teams, providing direction, support, and escalation paths while role modeling TruStage Leadership expectations. - Coaching: Partner with the Director, Program Delivery to appropriately resource program staffing, providing feedback and direction to project managers within the portfolio, creating a feedback loop with the Director, Program Delivery. - Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve conflicts between teams or stakeholders. - Collaboration and Trust: Build deep and productive working relationships with senior-level business and shared services partners, understanding stakeholder motivation, politics and organizational priorities. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience. - 10+ years of related experience including 5+ years of recent work experience leading large projects, teams or transformation efforts to include process improvements, product implementations, systems development and integration efforts. - Proven ability to quickly learn complex business and/or technological concepts. - Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization. - Proven ability to gain trust, negotiate with and influence sponsors and senior executive stakeholders. - Ability to broker consensus in contentious or politically sensitive situations. - Proven ability to lead projects and programs throughout their full life cycle. - Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization with clarity and precision, verbally and in writing. - Leadership skills to include coaching, guiding, influencing and driving accountability. - Demonstrated strategic skillset: able to synthesize and translate internal and external customer inputs, business performance metrics and strategic directives into projects and action plans. - Results oriented: proven track record in delivering results. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work with minimal direction. - Excellent presentation and group facilitation skills. - PC Skills: fluent in Microsoft Office applications.
