Role Description We’re looking for a Product Manager to build the operational backbone of the company — internal platforms, workflow systems, and AI-powered automation for operational teams. This is not a growth, onboarding, or customer-facing product role. You’ll work on the systems that keep operations running at scale: - Back-office platforms - Review workflows - Case management - Compliance operations - Internal tooling - Process automation We’re looking for someone who loves fixing operational chaos, simplifying complex workflows, and using automation and AI to eliminate repetitive manual work. You should be excited by questions like: - What parts of this process should not exist manually? - Where can AI reduce operational load? - How do we help teams move faster with fewer errors? - What should be automated, and where should humans stay in the loop? This role sits at the intersection of Product, Operations, Engineering, Data and AI enablement. Your role at xpate: - Build and scale internal operational platforms and workflow systems. - Identify high-impact automation opportunities across operational processes. - Design AI-assisted workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability. - Partner closely with operations teams to understand bottlenecks and inefficiencies. - Work with engineering and data teams to ship practical automation solutions. - Prototype and validate ideas quickly using modern AI and productivity tools. - Define and measure operational impact: automation rate, SLA reduction, processing speed, quality improvement, and operational efficiency. - Continuously improve workflows based on data and real operational usage. Qualifications - Has experience building internal tools, operational systems, workflow platforms, or back-office products. - Thinks in systems, workflows, operational efficiency and scalability. - Has worked on automation initiatives, ideally involving AI or intelligent workflows. - Can clearly demonstrate measurable business impact from their work. - Has strong ownership and execution skills - from problem discovery to shipped solution. - Moves fast, prototypes quickly, and actively uses AI tools in daily work. - Is comfortable operating in ambiguity and improving messy processes. - Enjoys working closely with operational teams and solving real execution problems. Requirements - Nice to have: - Fintech, payments, compliance, or risk operations experience. - Experience with AI-assisted operations, LLM workflows, or internal copilots. - Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code automation tools. - Experience in high-scale or regulated environments. Role Description We are looking for a Director of Product Management to own the end-to-end product strategy for Haystack Gold, lead and up-skill a talented PM team, and deepen our footprint across the defense, government, and A&D supply chain market. This is a player-coach role: you will set the operating model, drive product discovery and delivery, and mentor your team to raise the collective bar on craft and domain expertise. If you know how defense organizations source parts, navigate DLA systems, and manage supply chain risk — and you love building both great products and great product teams — this role is for you. Qualifications - 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years managing or mentoring other PMs. - Demonstrated expertise in the product operating model: you can run discovery, articulate strategy, write compelling opportunity statements, and hold a team accountable to outcomes. - Experience with B2B data or intelligence products — you understand data quality, coverage, and integration workflows as product problems. - Proven ability to synthesize complex market dynamics into a sharp, defensible product strategy. - Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives and engaging directly with customers and prospects. Requirements - Experience in or deep familiarity with the government, military, or aerospace & defense supply chain sector — including knowledge of NSNs, CAGE codes, FSC, DLA systems, or federal procurement processes. - Background working with defense contractors, OEMs, or government agencies on parts management, obsolescence, or logistics programs. - Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to defense supply chains (e.g., ITAR, DFARS, QPL/QML). - Experience building or scaling a PM practice — introducing frameworks, rituals, and standards that elevate the team's output.
