Role Description We’re looking for a Business Analyst to help design and scale the company’s operational platform — internal systems, workflows, and automation that power day-to-day operations. This role is focused on operational transformation: taking complex, manual processes and turning them into scalable, structured, and increasingly automated systems - including with the help of AI. You’ll work across Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Support teams, helping redesign how work actually gets done. This is not a documentation-only role. Your role at xpate: - Analyze and map complex operational workflows and processes. - Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities. - Help design scalable internal systems and workflow logic. - Translate business and operational needs into structured requirements for Product and Engineering teams. - Rapidly prototype process improvements and AI-assisted workflows (e.g. using AI tools, low-code/no-code, lightweight models or workflow tools). - Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to bring solutions into production. - Support the design of AI-assisted and partially automated operational processes (human-in-the-loop where needed). - Define process rules, edge cases, decision logic, and operational flows. - Track impact: efficiency gains, reduction in manual work, speed, and quality improvements. Qualifications - Has experience working with operational processes, internal systems, or workflow-heavy environments. - Thinks in systems, workflows, and end-to-end operational logic. - Can break down messy processes into structured, executable logic. - Is comfortable working in ambiguity and improving processes that are not well defined. - Has strong execution mindset and moves quickly from analysis to solution. - Actively uses AI tools in daily work (analysis, structuring, prototyping, automation). - Has experience quickly prototyping ideas and testing them in real operational contexts. - Works well with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams. This is not a growth, onboarding, or customer-facing product role. You’ll work on the systems that keep operations running at scale: - Back-office platforms - Review workflows - Case management - Compliance operations - Internal tooling - Process automation We’re looking for someone who loves fixing operational chaos, simplifying complex workflows, and using automation and AI to eliminate repetitive manual work. You should be excited by questions like: - What parts of this process should not exist manually? - Where can AI reduce operational load? - How do we help teams move faster with fewer errors? - What should be automated, and where should humans stay in the loop? This role sits at the intersection of Product, Operations, Engineering, Data and AI enablement. • Inbound Sales Management: handle inbound leads, qualify opportunities, guide onboarding process. • Long-Term Relationship Building: foster partnerships, drive customer growth, lead upsells. • Client Onboarding & Activation: primary contact for new clients, optimize onboarding processes. • Client Engagement & Satisfaction: ensure client satisfaction, monitor health metrics, identify risks. • Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: proactive problem solver, coordinate with teams to resolve issues. • Client Data & Documentation Management: maintain records, provide structured reporting on client status, leverage analytics tools.

• Build and evolve Lambda-first microservices • Design REST APIs with type-safe schemas • Model data in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL • Ship event-driven workflows • Ensure observability and write tests

• Build responsive, accessible fintech UI in Next.js/React. • Implement pixel-perfect screens with Tailwind, solid layout discipline, and consistent design tokens. • Own data flows: server/client state with TanStack Query, forms with React Hook Form (+ Yup where needed). • Integrate authentication and session flows via AWS Cognito (through Amplify). • Ship confidently with tests: unit/integration (Jest/RTL) and E2E (Playwright). • Contribute to and extend the shared component library (Storybook-first mindset). • Keep the app fast: performance tuning, bundle awareness, cross-browser edge cases, real-world UX.

• Conduct user research to understand real pain points in onboarding, portal usage, and internal operations. • Own the B2B onboarding journey - define and map user flows, create wireframes and detailed specifications, identify automation opportunities, and work with all teams to embed regulatory requirements seamlessly. • Own the client portal strategy - design workflows that reduce support tickets through self-service and automation. • Design the internal operations portal - dashboards, workflows, and efficiency tools that make your team faster. • Design workflows that leverage AI and automation to handle routine work. • Define success metrics, analyze user behavior and bottlenecks, and continuously iterate based on data. • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure all systems work together as one coherent experience.

• Take a critical look at our current AWS architecture and identify opportunities for improvement in reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Own infrastructure reliability and availability - design monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes that catch issues before they become problems. • Design and architect scalable, high-performance systems that handle real-time payment processing and financial transactions at scale. • Manage and optimize our databases (Aurora, DynamoDB) and drive infrastructure as code practices, automation, and deployment pipelines that enable the team to ship fast and safely. • Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements when they fit our domain. • Own security and compliance aspects of our infrastructure - understand fintech regulations, data protection, and security best practices.
