• Identify prospective customers and develop long-term relationships with new OEM customers in the Medical, Automotive and/or Industrial market segments • Attract long-term strategic customers for Kimball Electronics through a combination of effective marketing activities and successful communication of the KE package of value (POV) and profile • Lead specific project or account teams through quote activity for potential new accounts • Maintain CRM prospect, opportunity, and quote data
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Industrial, Medical and/or Automotive markets in the EMS industry
- Experience in winning opportunities with new customers
- Skills include new customer sales, communication, organization, presentations, negotiation, cross functional collaboration and project management
- The ability to work with all levels of the organization (Prospective Customers and internal to Kimball Electronics)
- A willingness to travel in North America and occasionally to Europe and Asia
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Helpful, but not required is an engineering degree or other technical training

The Business Development Representative (BDR) role at AppGate is designed for sales professionals who want to build deep pipeline-generation skills while gaining hands-on experience working complex enterprise and channel-driven sales motions. As a Business Development Representative, you will operate as part of a collaborative, team-based sales organization and work closely with a Regional Sales Director to generate new logo pipeline, support upsell and expansion campaigns, and help build momentum within AppGate’s channel partner ecosystem. This role is focused on outbound prospecting, qualification, and opportunity creation—not full-cycle closing—and offers a clear path for growth into expanded sales responsibilities over time. You will collaborate with Regional Sales Directors, Customer Success Managers, and Channel Sales Directors to drive overall regional performance and revenue growth. This role works closely with cross-functional partners to ensure consistent messaging, timely follow-up, and measurable pipeline impact. Position Responsibilities Sales Messaging & Enablement - Become an expert in delivering AppGate’s value proposition and sales overview to prospective customers and partners. - Communicate AppGate’s solutions clearly and effectively to align prospect needs with business value. Pipeline Generation & Prospecting - Generate qualified sales pipeline through account research, outbound prospecting, and timely follow-up on inbound leads. - Identify and engage target accounts within assigned regions and verticals. Meeting Qualification & Handoff - Schedule and qualify discovery meetings for Regional Sales Directors. - Ensure strong handoffs with clear context, qualification notes, and next steps. Account Expansion Support - Partner with Regional Sales Directors and Customer Success Managers to support upsell and expansion campaigns within the existing customer base. - Assist with outreach and coordination related to expansion initiatives.
