Role Description The Senior Consultant (Maximo) aligns with functional consultants, business, and IT stakeholders to translate business issues and requirements into best practice processes, blueprint, functional, and technical specifications. They provide a leadership role for peers through extensive knowledge in their area of specialization. For our global client base, the Senior Consultant champions client solutions, projects, programs, and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity playing a pivotal role in project delivery, customer operational support, and sales engagement opportunities. For the wider team, the Senior Consultant acts as a mentor and leader to more junior positions, promoting collaborative and cross-functional working methodologies and best practices. Responsibilities - Act as Solution or Team Leader on large projects - Configure and customize client solutions applying in-depth knowledge of workflows, system configuration, best practices, and customizations to develop technical solutions for customers - Responsible for architecting, designing, documenting, and prototyping the associated technical solutions for the system configuration to be implemented - Lead the facilitation/documentation of system design workshops, process reengineering workshops, and the creation of project and system documentation including architecture, process maps, system requirements, data standards, and training materials - Collaborate with Delivery Managers to execute agreed project delivery plan, assess progress, and identify risks - Provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project including development, testing, and deployment of technical solutions and ongoing support - Convert functional requirements into technical specifications - Concurrently deliver multiple projects which support the complex and demanding requirements of project delivery - Manage the coordination of data modelling and data collection activities - Understand our client’s business challenges and requirements to ensure that technical solutions address both the spoken and unspoken needs of the client - Identify areas of opportunity with your clients, and take initiative to collaborate on potential solutions - Build rapport with Customer Project Sponsors - Identify risks in project processes and delivery plans and work with the wider team to identify ways to improve - Take an active role in preparing responses to RFI and RFPs - Deliver on-site demonstrations of software functionality to potential Clients - Identifying and tracking issues related to project delivery - Acting as an advocate for the end-user within the project delivery team - Seeking continuous improvements in implementation of processes and procedures and deliver independently or with the team - Lead and participate in technical workshops - Mentor, support, and guide junior team members - Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements) Qualifications - Graduate education in a relevant degree or subsequent highly applicable work history - Appropriate professional software accreditations (e.g. IBM Maximo professional certifications or equivalent) - Desirable: Agile DSDM Practitioner Certification - 7+ years’ experience working with Maximo (any version) - Minimum of 4 years’ experience working within asset intensive industries or facility management environment with asset management systems (e.g. IBM Maximo, AssetWise, SAP, Infor, Oracle, SalesForce) or related applications - Experience in delivering complex project requirement gathering workshops - Excellent understanding and knowledge of databases (DB2, Oracle, MSSQL) - Experienced with programming languages (e.g. Linux, Solaris, Java, Python, SQL) - Excellent understanding of data replication technologies and the basic principles of software delivery techniques - Excellent Structured Query Language (SQL) writing skills - Knowledge of version control software such as SVN - Experience with the integration of business solutions with Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP) solutions - Highly experienced providing support to customers or end users - Exceptional logical analysis and problem-solving skills - Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment with moving timescales and strict deadlines - Excellent communicator with high standard of written communication, verbal, and numerical reasoning skills - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, systems, and general database applications - Highly developed analytical and deductive skills to identify and grasp client’s needs - Excellent problem-solving skills that will help quickly identify and resolve issues - Desirable: Multiple industry solutions experience - IBM WebSphere and/or BEA WebLogic experience - Experience implementing Maximo MAS - Extensive knowledge of Project Methodologies (E.g.
