Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Center
Arcadis
• Provide technical expertise to internal team members and external clients • Assist in client contact, connections, and finding opportunities • Provide expert consultant mechanical engineering advice to our clients in the data center space • Familiarity with industry standards, building codes • Guide as to the pros and cons of system types and rack cooling strategies • Coordinate with other internal/external engineering disciplines, vendors, and contractors • Act as point of contact for mechanical discipline in high-level discussions • Participate in all phases of a project from pursuit and proposals through design, and construction • Create thought leadership opportunities to expand Arcadis's touch and brand in the data center market • Assist in the preparation of proposals • Travel as required to attend pursuit discussions, project meetings, and collaboration with clients’ team members • Work in a collaborative team environment • Provide mentoring to staff
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 2 or more years of relevant experience in data center Mechanical Engineering
- PE Registration
- 5 years' experience in Data Center / Mission Critical system design including data centers and other facilities with need for resiliency/redundancy

• Design and implement RTL for complex digital subsystems using Verilog/SystemVerilog • Translate architectural specifications into clean, efficient, and scalable microarchitectures • Collaborate with architecture, verification, and physical design teams to ensure design correctness and closure • Develop high-quality, reusable RTL with strong coding standards and documentation • Perform linting, CDC analysis, and ensure synthesis readiness of designs • Support integration and debug of RTL in simulation and early silicon environments • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on architecture and implementation tradeoffs • Work with verification teams to ensure comprehensive functional coverage • Assist in timing closure and support backend teams as needed • Contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies, flows, and tools
